This is a concentrated bottle of laundry detergent, scented with lavender, eucalyptus and orange, which makes for an interesting scent combination. You use the 10ml bottle cap to dose, although that is a tricky and slightly messy process, so it may be better to use a small measuring jug instead. Do measure though, because you really don’t need to use a lot to get clean laundry and it would be a pity to use more than necessary.The bottle will provide less than 32 washes if you have hard water or heavily soiled items - requiring 4 capfuls or 40ml per wash if you use a machine and maybe as few as 12.5 loads. If your water is soft and soiling is light, you can use just 2 capfuls or 20ml and get 25 washes from this bottle. You may therefore only get 12.5 washes from a bottle if you have hard water, heavy soiling or are just doing a larger load of bedding. You can use just one or two capfuls if you hand wash.I added a stain remover to my laundry as I always do and I didn't want to find items that needed to be washed again, but I reduced the dosing to that needed for light soiling. Everything came out clean and smelling fresh, so that seems to have worked. Although this seems expensive for the amount of liquid supplied and the number of anticipated washes, prudent use and experimentation suggests you can use less than the suggested amount and still get good results - and you don't need fabric softener either.

My order arrived this morning and I have already done one load of darks wash. The laundry came out smelling lovely and fresh. Plant power at its best. I had a mixed load of dark items such as tights, underwear, jeans and some general tops. I washed the load on a 30 degree quick wash and everything came out very clean looking and fresh.

This soap did not clean or leave any scent on my clothes. Now I am also unsure whether it is genuinely vegan or derived from natural ingredients. This is just a liquid in a bottle.I do not recommend purchasing it.

Claims "up to 20 washes" but read the small print and for hard water (which most of us have in the UK) it says use 4 capfuls which would give around 7 washes. Makes it quite an expensive product as detergents go.Speaking of capfuls, the cap is not really designed for measuring as it's really a squeezy top where you press the top down on one side to expose the aperture to squeeze out. Use it removed and upturned as a measuring cap, it becomes a pain to clean it out before screwing back onto the bottle.It washes OK for sure, but I really don't get any scent whatsoever of eucalyptus, lavender, or orange rind.Whilst it may be using eco-friendly ingredients, I'm not sure why this company has ventured into this kind of detergent as they already make detergent strips/sheets which are far more eco-friendly than this - cardboard packaging instead of plastic bottles, and energy savings due to smaller size and weight. The sheets are also far more economic for us customers.

The scent is fresh but gentle. You only need a small amount as ut goes a long way so will last for ages! You can use just one or two capfuls if you hand wash.I washed a super king bed set using 40ml of liquid, no added stain remover and no added fabric softener and was happy with cleanliness and scent. I will try to use less in the future and hope to increase the number of loads I can clean without compromising on the results.I expected the bottle to go further than the dosing instructions clarify will be the case, but will probably use this again given the cleaning power from a small dose as well as the pleasing lavender scent it provides.

I love the smell of this laundry detergent for the dark wash from The Lab Co.; the blend of eucalyptus, orange rind and lavender is like aromatherapy for your laundry.This 300ml bottle of concentrated laundry detergent is enough for 7.5 to 15 loads, depending on soiling and water hardness. Note that the ‘up to 20 loads’ mentioned in the description refers to handwashing. Priced at £9.00 (at the time of review), it’s pretty expensive as it costs at least 60p per load, if you’re lucky enough to live in a soft water area otherwise it’s £1.20 per load.The detergent is in a squeezy bottle with a flip top lid but the instructions refer to capfuls which makes the flip top rather redundant as you have to remove the cap to measure the detergent.The smell is really fresh and unusual so it was a nice change to use it. I could smell it on the clothes when I removed them from the washing machine but it obviously wasn’t as strong when I brought them back in from the line.I like that it is a particular blend for dark clothes to preserve colour and it has a lovely smell but, as I live in a hard water area, it’s just far too expensive to consider reordering.
