More like a garden decoration
The box contains 12 garden solar led lights. It is circular-shaped and looks very good in the garden. The set includes the tools we can use to put it in the garden. The solar lamp can be adjusted manually on the lamp.I would like to mention that the price is friendly and it is really easy to place in the garden, but the light of the lamp is very dim.I would rather call it garden decoration than useful light. Thanks for reading my review, I hope you found it helpful.XO Sue

Decent value, but not amazing in itself.
First of all, 12 lights for £29.99 (£32.99 with a £3 off voucher) is pretty good as it works out to only £2.50 per light unit. The lights have a metal casing and each unit has 8 LED diodes. Rated IP65 waterproof, which is the minimum requirement for outdoor garden electronics in my opinion, as these will withstand normal weather circumstances.Bright white light which provides a nice shine to the garden when it's dark.Unfortunately, there are numerous flaws, hence why I only rated these three stars.First, quality is an issue. Two of the lights have a gentle weird flicker, this is just not acceptable. This is not a result of the LED diodes, but the switch itself, so I'm assuming something is wrong with the wiring. When I press the switch, the flicker becomes more obvious, but leaving it on, it's subtle.Second, the spike is relatively weak plastic. If your garden ground isn't as soft as they expect it to be or there's a rock or stone when you intend to place it. You might break the spike by accident, especially if you apply force without knowing this.Three, 8 LED diodes isn't that great when there are units with 12 LED diodes to provide even more light in the dark. Finally, the solar panel and battery are weak. The solar panel is small, so charging is very limited. This paid with a 600 mAh battery just means these won't light up for very long in the dark, especially during winter when solar power is limited as it is, so a small solar panel just makes it worse and a weak battery, supposedly with 6 - 8 hours duration, isn't even enough to last through a whole night for most of the year in the UK.Not bad, but quality has some issues and the item design has some flaws, so it leaves improvement to be desired.

Nice for lighting pathways
I have these running by the side of my path and they work really well at this time of year, come winter I imagine I’d be lucky to get an hour out of them per night. Currently I’m getting about 7 hours we have had some good weather just lately though. They are plenty bright enough to light a pathway edge or the border of a garden. The plastic garden stakes never seem to last long on these sorts of lights. I’ve had a few sets in the past and they all break at some point unless it’s somewhere that you are not going to go near with any garden tools.Overall these do a great job or making the garden look nice at night.

Read this if they flicker or stop working. Good solar light set.
These are good solar lights. They are very easy to install. As with any solar lights, you cannot expect the same performace in the winter as in the summer, and they are very dependent on the position and weather (they will perform much better if south or west-facing, for example). They need to be turned on in order to charge. If they flicker, it is becase they are not charged up enough (a particular problem in winter). They arrive charged so, if installing in the winter, you can think they have broken as after first use they may not recharge sufficiently. All they need is longer days and stronger sunshine.Take care when putting them in the ground – the spike needs to be placed in soft ground. If it is questionable ground, I would hammer in a pilot hole first with something like a narrow stake to ensure that there are no stones in the way.

Perfect When New....But There Are Downsides. An Honest Review:
There are two main reasons you would want these, for stylish functionality (our case), or purely aesthetics.A bumper pack of daylight glow outdoor solar lights which stand about 2cm tall. The ground stakes accompany this set are ones I had in another set last year. In my experience, though they perform very well initially - they are quite easy to push into soft ground and even gravel with a soft ground beneath it (as was my case this time). What I have found however, is that the little connectors on the top of the stakes, which attach to the underside of the lights are easily detached. Even a slight knock with the mower will dislodge them, plus they tend to snap once they've endured a few months of harsh weather. The brand hear, highlight their ability to withstand upto 200kg of weight, displaying an image of a car driving over it.In my experience, the prongs on the stakes can just about withstand children and mower wheels for a little while. In fact about half of my lights from last year, need replacing due to failing stakes. The lights themselves are great when new and fully operational. You get a good, medium lit light which illuminates a very dark area which isn't illuminated with street lights in the slightest. However I have found that if you're planning to use these over your green lawn, you will find overtime, that insects like to take refuge in the cavities under the lights and move the earth enough to dislodge the switch which randomly switches itself off on a periodic basis, which we find somewhat annoying, because ofcourse, this is only noticable when you need them the most - in darkness.4 stars, maybe even a 3 due to the shorter lifespan.
