Alarmpore (TM) and Addressable, 5050 Digital RGB LED Strip 5M 150LEDs Not Waterproof Dream Magic Color 12V Led Rope Tape

The lights are amazing.I love the LED strip lights. They are really bright and colorful. They work perfectly well with no dead lightsThe led strip comes with adhesive on the back, which can stick great on clean and dry surface. Please be aware, if the surface is not clean and smooth enough, it may not stick well.The led strip is not waterproof, so it can only be used indoor. But I think it can work for any purpose, such as normal lighting (bright enough), background lighting, holiday decoration, parties etc. The led strip is 5 meter long, I cut it into two parts, one part for our TV background lighting and the other part for my cabinet.Just know each IC controls three leds and every 3 leds are of the same color at the same time, just as the description implies. They are not individually addressable.The LED strip has 3PIN connectors on both ends, so strips can be connected easily without solderingOne more thing needs your attention before you buy, the package contains only led strip, no any power supply or controller in it. To make the led strip work, you also need a controller and 12V power supply.Considering its cost and quality, I will buy more for Xmas and party decoration.

The media could not be loaded.  I finally got to hook this individually addressable light strip, and it exceeded my expectations. I used a attiny85 microcontroller to drive it without a problem. I tested it with a 12v @ 3A power supply with a 1v drop at the end of the strip. I had it running for about an hour and it is cool to the touch throughout. You might want to use a greater powered power supply and do power injection for a safe permanent installation. It has a good adhesive backing. LEDs are wired 3 to every WS2811, so in total there are 150 LEDs but you can address 50 segments of 3. The colors look nice and bright. I am looking forward to finish my project now.

These LEDs are very bright and have good color and spacing between each LED. Perfect for music reactive kits. I haven’t mounted them yet so I’m not sure how well they stick to the surface. Other then that they’re great.

Good quality at a great price. But BEWARE, these LEDs are NOT individually addressable. They are only addressable in groups of 3. So if you get a string of 150, like I did, turning on pixel #0 with Adafruit software turns on the first 3 LEDs. Conversely, turning on pixel #49 turns on the last 3 pixels. Surprise surprise.

So far seems great. Hooked up easily to m uhh arduino. If there is no update on this review then that means the lights are still working. Hope they last a long time.
