LOVE this pumpkin seed protein powder!!!!
I am so very happy that I tried this pumpkin seed protein powder. It is very light and mixed fairly easily with water and a fork or spoon to stir it up. I LOVE that it’s only one ingredient. That is so very important to me. I’ve been looking an alternate plant based protein powder that is Not pea protein or a blend. I personally only stand pea protein. I’ve been longing for a pumpkin seed only protein without the fillers and other junk that tend to be in some of the other brands. Please continue to make this available and please don’t compromise the quality. As educated customers we know the difference! Thank you for an awesome product. I will definitely recommend and will continue to buy this pumpkin seed protein powder.

Finally A “Clean” Protein
Nothing but pea protein. No guar gum, no sweeteners, natural or artificial. No flavorings. It blends as well as any other pea/plant protein. The peas used have a naturally occurring sweetness. Think English peas. It’s about as pure of a protein mix as one can get. I like to use a milk frother wand to mix it into my coconut milk. I’ve added cinnamon or a splash of vanilla for a flavor variation.

Delicious and simple ingredients
This is so good. We have a nut allergy in our house. When a friend mentioned that she adds PB2 (peanut butter powder) to her oats, I thought to see if there's a similar sunflower seed powder, and came across this. I was already making oats with 40g quick oats, 15g whey protein chocolate powder, and added 1 scoop of this. It really takes it to the next level. It thickens ups the oats really well and all together has a nice smooth consistency. All in, the oatmeal is around 250 calories with 22g protein. Very happy with this find!

Excellent product, terrible plastic pouch
Of the pea protein powders I've tried so far, this one is far and away my favorite. I really like its texture and slightly-sweet natural flavor. But I took off one star for the lame plastic pouch it came in.The two-pound size comes in a cylindrical paperboard canister with metal bottom and top rim, and a plastic lid. Aside from the plastic lid, it's all biodegradable. The metal is totally recyclable if you want to separate it for scrap. The size, shape, and rigidity make the container easy to work with. All in all, pretty thoughtful packaging. However, this review is for the five-pound size, which unfortunately comes in a plastic pouch with several annoying characteristics:- The zip lock seal on the pouch does not work. At all. I really tried, and could not get it to close even partially. I finally gave up, rolled it down, and secured it with a bag clip.- There is a powdery coating on the outside of the bag that gives it a slightly gritty texture to the touch. No idea what that could be from, or if it's intentional.- There is a faint, perfumey, synthetic fragrance on the outside of the bag. Why is that necessary?- The pouch is not recyclable or biodegradable at all. The label refers to it as an "environmentally-friendly pouch", "made with Post-Consumer Recycled material as part of our commitment to sustainability." In my view, there's nothing sustainable about this. They just slowed down some plastic on it's way into a landfill or the ocean.- The pouch is messy to work with. Some powder always seems to spill or escape while it's being scooped out.I found the pouch so impractical that I dumped half its contents into the paperboard canister I still had from my 2-pound purchase. Next time I'll buy the 2-pound container, even though it costs a little more per pound. It appears the 1-pound size also comes in a plastic pouch.I hope Sprout Living will go to paperboard canisters for all their sizes. If they applied themselves, they could surely think of a way to do away with the metal and plastic components as well. Remember how oats used to come in a 100% paperboard canister? We have the technology for this...

So clean and healthy!
I’ve been searching for decades for a clean, organic healthy protein powder that I can digest. I have to carefully limit oxalates, and this is one of the only ones I can use. I also appreciate that pumpkin seeds are high in magnesium.I’ve been using it for about a year. I make a smoothie in the morning with instant coffee, oatmilk, vanilla and a dash of stevia. I love the taste and I always feel good after I drink it.I also use it on my oatmeal and I make muffins out of it (using oat flour, maple syrup, etc.) They turn out really good and my husband and kids even love them. (They are a little bit green, though).Tgere are no gums, fillers, artificial colors, flavors or other junk in this stuff. Makes me really happy!

Chunky consistency, chalky taste
I’ll say this: This is my first time trying pea protein, so I’m not sure if my review is specific to this brand of pea-based protein powder. However, the powder doesn’t fully blend in, even after using the highest blender speed! As a result, it has a chunky consistency and texture, which might feel a bit odd if you’re used to other types of protein. It also has a somewhat chalky taste. I wouldn’t buy it again. On the positive side, the product’s presentation and nutritional value are great.

Pumpkin Seed Protein!
Enjoyable 1 ingredient protein mix. I appreciate that it has no extra ingredients. I blend it in a smoothie with frozen fruit, ginger, and flax therefore it has good flavor. I have mixed it with just water in a shaker cup.
