Vertical Vegetable Gardening: A Living Free Guide

I Never Thought I Would Gush Over a Gardening Book, but....
This little book has really outdone itself. Chris McLaughlin, in a completely charming and unassuming way, has schooled me on my small-space gardening methods. Though she is a Master gardener, she keeps it simple for those of us with thumbs that may or may not be green, depending on which light you are standing in. Speaking of which, the 'Caveman Sun Blueprint' has really, seriously changed my life and how I will attack my garden-planning this spring. Her easy-to-construct, space-challenged, vertical gardening techniques are also definitely going to be implemented in that same plan of attack, as I live on a frustratingly tight, suburban lot. I could go on and on, because I took away so many little nuggets of wisdom and innovation that my copy of the book is sporting a full petticoat of Post-it note annotations. In a nutshell, I highly, highly recommend this book!

Go Vertical and Easy Garden and Go Green
I am collecting and doing my research on how all this works. Some complain that this book doesn't tell them all they would like to know, but dare I say it...that is so stupid it is beyond belief. Each one of us has our own perceptions and understanding. The good news is that the more we research and share the more inspiration we have and the more our creative processes are stimulated, and the better our ideas and designs are.

Too many plants in my etsy favorites now
A lot of practical advice and how to build supports for plants in your garden. Also lists of varietals that can be trained into trellises or it e vertical shapes. Looking forward to growing pumpkins and patio plants up next year

Good book to have
Got the book, read thru it and tried a couple examples. I was hoping I would be a better gardener but I soon lost interest and when my veggies stopped producing I got rid of everything. I'm not doing veggies next year..too much trouble, too pricey for what I have to do. Maybe flowers..they're worth it!

How to have a great, little, garden
I have learned so much about how to use the small space I have for the maximum benefit of my family. And I am learning new ways to grow vegetables I never thought about growing vertically. Remember to check out companion plants to best use your growing area. And you can make your own vertical structures to save money and if you design them so they can fold up you can store them for next year's use as well.

Didn't meet my needs but good info for a novice
I was expecting to see info on how to tend to vertical grown vegetables such as pruning back etc like you see in the videos on U tube from gardeners who are growing almost everything vertically in small plots or raised beds, so I was disappointed that it only gave info about what could be grown vertically. The info it provided was good just more basic than my needs.

I downloaded an e-book and loved it!
This is really helping me to make the most of my limited space ! I love the quick satisfaction of downloading an e-book. I got to work right away making a topsy-turvy shade edible garden on an old swing set frame that my teen outgrew. This book sparked the idea and it has been a real success so far! Get this book and get inspired!
