My church is having a Preacher Pounding. In case you don't know, it's a welcome party for the new preacher and the congregation gives the family foods, life a bag of flour, sugar, coffee, etc.. As a way to get to know the congregation, our new preacher asked for our favorite recipes and we decided to include the nonperishable ingredients for our recipes. I crochet (aimlessly), so i added a throw that i made. I needed a basket.This basket is exactly the right size and it may serve another purpose. My stuff is a little heavy but this basket is strong enough to handle the weight and it's sturdy. I like it. I put gifts in useful things rather than in expense gift wrap that is immediately thrown away.Whatever your purpose might be, this is a good basket, well constructed, nothing rough or frayed on and it has a nice slightly glossy finish.

Functionable

These baskets fit perfectly on my shelves in my office. I needed something to neaten up all my miscellaneous office supplies. The price was right too!

I keep this tote under my desk as a paper recycling container. It's great because if I'm working on something and I can't get up at the moment to go put a piece of paper in the main recycling bin, I can just reach my hand down and plop it in the tote. When it fills up, I just take it and pour all of it into my main paper recycling bin. Helping the planet one sticky note at a time.Other aspects: the woven straps are firm, but have necessary 'give' to it. I got the espresso colored one--looks sleek and modern, whatever that means.Another possible use for the tote:I can imagine that it would be fun--and satisfying--to pour bags of coffee beans into this tote and shake it horizontally, or vertically (you naughty children) like a Christmas present. Beans, beans, so many beans.

They’re decent baskets but they looked a lot more cream colored in the listing. They are definitely like a gold/beige color. Photo next to cream colored basket.

I originally purchased a flatter large one to store newspapers for recycling and it was perfect! Then I decided on some more in a different size. I ordered 3 of these. They are very well made and very sturdy too. I am using them on the bottom 2 shelves of my sofa table. They are perfect for storing numerous items and they make these items readily assessable, while still looking nice. I love this Java color, it's a dark brown and it looks neat and tidy on my shelves. :)

We ordered several of these baskets to store dry goods and non perishables in our kitchen in the dead space above the wall cabinets. The baskets fit the space nicely and seem to be fairly sturdy and up to the task. We can now store a variety of items in that space without it looking like a mess!
