The material is fire retardant but flames and debris can easily escape these bags. If these Derblue battery bags are used as a second layer of protection inside a bigger battery bag that has a zipper I would give them 5 stars and say they're good bags for that purpose. I gave these bags 4 stars for my intended use of them though because one of the two battery bags I received has bad stitching on one of the front corners of the lid.These are good battery bags however, if they were to be used by themselves for charging or storage I would only give them 2 stars because they only have a large velco strip across the front to hold the lid down but they do not have a zipper. If a battery caught fire or exploded, the flames and debris could very easily come out both sides of the top of these bags and catch something on fire. If you have these bags in a backpack or in the back of a vehicle, a 2 or 3 cell battery could possibley work its way out. One MJX Bugs 2 battery fits perfectly in each of these Derblue battery bags. I will be buying another pair of these Derblue battery bags so I can safely & securely store 4 batteries in the Hobbymate bag. I hope this doesn't appear to be a bad revue because I do recommend these Derblue battery bags as a second layer of protection.

This thing literally saved my house from a fire. I put it in a metal box and on top of a metal stand and started to charge a 100c 3s battery. My wife smelled something I the garage and I saw the smoke. The battery bag kept it from flaming up. The enclosed pictures show how the bag handled it. 10 stars. Definitely buying another bag.That is not a rotisserie chicken! That’s a lipo!
