Rice is great, ordering from Amazon bad!
We love this wild rice and have been eating it for years. The order is for 12 boxes for something like $33. My first order came with ONE BOX, not 12 boxes of rice. I ordered again.......got ONE box of rice, not the 12 boxes as described in the ordering description (and the price depicts 12 boxes). I called Customer Service and after an initial reaction that they can't get the order fixed, they said that they would get the 12 boxes to me and that I didn't have to return the 2 single boxes I got. I got another SINGLE box of rice........so I spent $33 for 3 boxes of rice. Am I crazy to try this order again after a month or so?

Near East gluten-free Long grain & Wild rice
The Near East brand is the only box rice we buy. Tastes great and cooks fast and all natural ingredients. Sad to see the price of this Long Grain & wild rice flavor almost double in price from when we bought a case last year. This one is gluten-free too which I love. But won’t pay twice the cost so I won’t order again until the price comes down significantly.

Brand loyalist here...
I first discovered this brand maybe 20 yrs ago and it's still my family's favorite. I often take meals to people who are ill, had a baby or are just struggling and every time this rice is on the menu, they compliment me on it. Some buyers who miss the slivered almond version will be happy to know that buying the slivered almonds in bulk (I reccommend "Food 2 Live" brand) and adding a handful to each box of rice at the stove top, is equally as delicious as the discontinued version. Enjoy!
