Very well made. The tie's beautiful silk holds its shape far better than the rental tie. Making it easier to tie and I only had to tighten it once during the evening. The cummerbund is far nicer than what they had at the rental store as well.Is the set worth the cost? It definitely conveys quality. But it costs as much as a tux rental. So you have to decide if the subtle image improvement is enough warrant the price. I think it did.

I’ve never liked shiny silk. So, I wanted to find a cummerbund and a bow tie to match my gros-grain tux lapels. I’m very pleased with the David Donahue Silk self-tied bow tie and cummerbund. The quality is irreproachable! They are well worth the price. I also found gros-grain suspenders to complete the look.

This a very nice grosgrain tie and cummerbund set. The cummerbund adjusts down to a 30 inch waist without issue. The fabric is very nice and presents a nice contrast to satin (assuming you are not a complete purist and embrace contrast).

Clearly better than anything else out there. Very comfortable adjustable waist - not elastic. Beautiful material!

"handcrafted in the USA with 100% Italian silk"? Huh, that's funny. What I got was cheap 100% polyester crap, almost certainly made in China, and worth about $5-10 retail. Thanks for wasting my time with this straight up false advertisement. The tag on it even says "100% Polyester"!
