Rechargeable and fun. Relatively quiet considering it's rolling on the floor. Even rolls on our carpet just slower. This is one of our cat's favorite toys. Rolls around on the floor all by itself. Kitty hears the button being pressed and will come running with that playful look on the face. A great feature is it will intermittently spin then wait and start spinning again. It also stops after a while so the battery does just go dead from constantly being on. Just find where the cat last played with it and press the button again, and off it goes. I had to buy a spare one just because I could not find it last month. ( it was under the dresser) I often see our cat carrying it around. So cute and funny.

Love this brand! And so does my cat! My go to when I want to treat my girl! So many unique toys that will keep your kitty entertained for hours.
