Great product!
Works very well. I used some 220 grit sandpaper to make sure the gold stuck better and I ended up finding gold in my first pan full. It's big enough to work a lot of material and very sturdy. Gold and black sand shows up very well.

Best pan i have ever used . No gimmicks
Amazing piece of equipment. Cost more than I could have got from the site but with amazon prime worked out the same without the 2 week wait. How does anyone not have prime now. If your just getting into panning or are seasoned at it I definitely recommend this pan. I panned off some old tailings I have had kicking around and found a lot more small flakes and powdered gold. If you can only get one pan this is it.

I have a lot of gold pans, but this one tops them all
I tested the pan today with several table spoons of tailings that I had already back-panned with another pan (mostly black sand and small garnet material) I seeded it with one small flake and a smaller spec. It back-panned perfectly. Every spec of black sand was at the bottom of the pan. The flake and spec I seeded were perfectly clean top-center. I didn't even have to tap. Not only did it find the flake and spec I seeded, but also a few tiny specs I must have missed on a previous clean-up that ended up in my tailings. I have a lot of gold pans, but I think this one will be my new "go to". Can't wait to try it out on the mighty Fraser River!

Well designed, strong and durable having to endure rocky rivers and streams.The ridges on one side do make panning quicker and easier for a novice and as you become more practiced you have the option of the smooth side.
