Monarch Water Ultimate 10kg Water Softener Salt Tablets - BS EN973 Class A Approved

This is one of the few salt tablet packages sold by AZ itself - thus better guarantee of pure salt compared to other suppliers selling somewhat questionable purity salt (due to residue left). It is not cheap for the weight but unless you're bringing it yourself or ordering many 25kg bags you know delivery won't be cheap with any supplier.The main issue is that a lot of the tablets are broken in the bag that ends up with a huge amount of ground salt (almost 1/3-1/4) that defeats the purpose of using tablets. As you know ground salt is not great for water softeners as it is more likely to form salt bridges that are no fun.Will go back to my other suppliers (more expensive) but this is an Ok backup.

As others have reviewed, too much ground salt in the bags, blocked my water softener and caused costly repairs.

Look at the item description - the bags weight is not shown on the bag - it’s a small 10kg bag

The boxes were open and the salt cubes had been crushed , so there was a lot of loose salt in the bag , this is I guess a problem in the warehouse when moving the salt about as the bags are heavy , more care needs to be taken with the bags as loose salt just washes away and is of no use to a water softener
