fastest reloads for me
I'm giving this style speedloader 5 starts even though it works differently from the long handled comp speedloader - and I lost a lot of points at a competition because I didn't realize that fact. LOL...sort of.... That was NOT the fault of the speedloader. The long handled version releases the rounds into the revolver cylinder by pushing on the center handle. THIS SHORT handled one releases only by pushing on the round frame itself, not on the knob. Instructions do not come with the product. For me these knobbed speedloaders (both styles) work much faster and smoother than the style with the metal twist knob and I highly recommend them. If you are going to use either of these competition models I also highly recommend the black tray called a "shooter loading block" that holds the rounds in groups of 6 so all you have to do is put the speedloader over them, push and twist. OTHERWISE you have to put the rounds in, turn it over and hope they don't fall out before they are on a flat surface and then push and twist. The combination of the loading tray and these competition speed loaders is superb. If you do much competition shooting it is worthwhile to buy these competition models.

Excellent Functionality and Performance
Will buy more. This is an outstanding speed loader - and I've tried almost all the speed loaders out there since the 1970's. Holds your rounds firmly and secure - no rattling. Insert rounds and press down until you hear a click - that's the sound it makes when your rounds have been released into the chambers. (Check YouTube.) 1. Make sure the loaders you buy are intended for the model of revolver you intend to use them with. 2. Learn the proper technique for use when loading your revolver. 3. Learn how to properly load your rounds into the speed loaders and properly secure the rounds. There is a technique to it. 4. With practice, you should be able to load your revolver in total darkness - it's not difficult to practice at home with dummy snap caps practice rounds. I suspect that the people giving these speed loaders bad reviews, are likely using the wrong size for their particular revolver and/or are not familiar with how to use them.

WORKS!!
It just took a couple practice times to get it down. works great even for me (left handed)! When rounds are locked down they don't rattle around.

It's cool, but didn't work for me
I really like the way this operates. Loaded it with some dummy rounds and made it eject the cartridges using a pen to see it working. Then I tried to use it on my Taurus 856 defender with Altamont grips, and it wouldn't work. It was hitting the grip panel, so it wouldn't reach the button in the center that releases the cartridges. To be fair, 5 star loaders hit the panel as well but will work because they use a knob release. It's no fault of the manufacturer, since they don't state that the 856 works with this loader, so I did rate it 5 stars because I like the way it works, although I had to return it. Just note if you're planning to use it with a Taurus 856 defender, it may not work depending on your grips.

Works great for people with three hands !
Loading this Safariland speedloader is very awkward. To lock the shells in place you have to place them in the loader. Then turn the loader upside down while holding the unlocked shells in place to prevent them falling out. Then apply upward pressure on them while twisting the plastic knob. You'll soon have shells sliding all over the place! I haven't found that loading and locking gets any easier with practice..its a great design for people with three hands! Stick with the HKS speed loaders which are easily locked, by people with just two hands, with a simple twist of the quality metal knob.

Hold rounds securely even when in a pocket
These are my favorite speed-loaders. They are extremely fast and pop the rounds into the cylinder with authority. Unlike HKS Speed-Loaders. They hold the rounds securely whether in a speed=loader pouch or just stuck in a pocket. The only issue is that some grips do not give enough clearance to use these or other similar speed-loaders. If your preferred style of grip has such clearance issues, the ZETA Speed Six, though not as fast, will work with just about any grip profile.

Hmmm.
This does not work for my S&W 357. Not a match. Seems not to be able to handle all loads. Does not align the rounds, depending on the ammunition manufacturer. Catches on the brass. In the few cases with certain rounds, it works just as it should, but not in most cases. Well built, would love for it to work for me. Just doesn't.

Perfect for reloading with your off hand
Works great, can load by pressing against the palm of my hand after breaking it in a little, from my experience (have bought 3 so far and all of them break in rather quickly to the point where you don’t need to press it against a table to load unlike what most people say) highly recommend if you want to reload using your left hand as it doesn’t require cradling the cylinder like many other designs, only possible downside is you have to make sure you only press on outside of the loader when loading or it will not release the rounds (just practice and it won’t be a problem)

Fonctionnent parfaitement
