It's a great set and not just for sharpening knives.Just one word of warning, the gloves that came with are marked "S" for small and while they would be a very good safety feature, not useful if you don't have tiny hands.

I spent a day with these stones and will say they do the job splendedly. Even the stone cleaner is impressive. Well worth every penny.

It is what it was advertised to be

Everything arrived in time & good condition. The stones look as good a quality as others I have bought in the past. I have not had time to use them yet as that will be an all day affair for what I have planned for this set & I have other projects ahead of sharpening using these stones. I am mostly looking forward to use the flattening stone to fix another stone I messed up by scrubbing it " clean " with a rough metal type dish cleaner. I won't do THAT again. ( Bad online advice. ) I will update this review after I use this set of stones.

The product meets expectations and works as described. The quality seems good, and it performs well for its intended purpose. Delivery was on time, and the packaging was secure. Overall, a satisfactory purchase.

Very easy to get and maintain an edge on my blades

The stones are nice and flat, they work well with water and I was able to grind many knives quickly and efficiently if you at least somewhat know what you're doing. The bamboo has a rubber base that holds pretty well on a rough surface but not a slick one. I had to put water down under the rubber to make it hold still on my countertop.Tried the knife holder gadget just to see how it would go, and it quickly fell apart (the white stone sliders fell out). Don't rely on this part for long - it's just a plastic clip with some stones snapped into it.Tried the chisel grinder, and this was my biggest mistake. As I was grinding, the chisel rotated slightly out of the holder, and cut about a 0.5mm deep, 3mm wide gash in the surface of the 400 stone. This will give me an opportunity to test the surface grinder/leveler, but I was really hoping not to need to do this so soon after I bought it.In short: the stones are good. Probably avoid the toys and you'll be fine.
