Good coffee from a different area
I had never had Thailand Peaberry coffee, but I am a big fan on Tanzanian Peaberry so I thought I would give this supplier a shot. I was very happy with the taste, freshness, and overall quality of this coffee. It brewed up nice in my pour-over and is not too expensive. I'll try it again, I'm sure.

5+ Star Coffee (What A Treat...)
This Peaberry coffee from Thailand is amazing and quite unique (true medium roast perfection and blissfully smooth). I have tried some of the best coffee all over the world (Kopi Luwak, 100% Kona Peaberry, Jamaican Blue Mountain Peaberry, Black Ivory, Tanzania Peaberry, Kenya AA, etc) and from different countries (Costa Rica, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Kenya, Dominican Republic, India, Panama, Italy, France, Nepal, Sulawesi, Guatemala, El Salvador, etc.). I have currently 10-12 lbs of different coffees (stored individually & vacuum sealed in a controlled temperature coffee closet) from all over the world since I am definitely a coffee addict. Since my family and all my friends are coffee addicts and drink all my coffee supply all day and every day, this is now there new favorite.Honestly, this is best coffee in general I have ever had due its unique well balanced characteristics (aroma, texture & mouthfeel, taste, and after-taste). I was a little skeptic on its acidity or bitterness. You can definitely drink it black in order to appreciate a first class coffee. This coffee is definitely worth every penny and actually reasonably priced for its quality. The things I can not stand in a coffee is overroasting, bitterness, over acidic (stomach upset), and burnt smell. This coffee has NONE of those traits since I am extremely picky about my coffee. In my opinion, use a French Press or a machine that uses refillable Nespresso capsules or refillable K-Cup capsules. I used all three and had all great results in order to appreciate the quality and characteristics of this coffee. I have not tried a drip type coffee maker, but I am sure you will get similar notes and tastes. In regards to the coffee and its freshness, I have spoken to Mike (owner and great customer service) in regards to the roasting process and the delivery after roasting. Everything is done within a few days or less and delivered to him.PROS:- Extremely exquisite on the nose and taste buds- No acidity or bitterness- EXTREMELY well-balanced- Nose: Faint hint of "orange peels" with deep rich chocolate- Taste: Clean with a touch of nuttiness with a rich mocha chocolate aftertaste- First Class coffee- A MUST BUYCONS:- NoneAfter saying all this, I hope Mike will keep selling this Peaberry coffee at this price-point which is a steal.

Could be good if it was more direct...
Well, it has potential to have been good, but as it is gets shipped from Canada where it is roasted and then to a US distributor that puts their info and best by date on, and then it goes to amazon. By that time the beans are not very fresh from roast, i am guessing since there best by date was 7 months away that the beans could be 5 months or more from roast, which is no good for high end espresso machines that use non-pressurized filters. All in all it had to be ground so fine to get any resistance the 1 pound bag, which usually lasts 10 days, was gone in 5 days. It reminded me of the coffee you get at tesco lotus in Thailand that is about 120 bhat, 4 dollars, that is usually a few months old. for the cost vs freshness, it is not worth it. It could be good if you could get is direct from the roaster and bypass the distributor and amazon merchant. To be fair, i have been disappointed in all the coffee i have purchased from amazon except Lavazza, which always is pretty good, and that which i get from Whole Foods.

I have to admit that Peaberry coffee is my favorite. I have bought numerous others on Amazon
I have to admit that Peaberry coffee is my favorite. I have bought numerous others on Amazon, some good, some not so good. As soon as I opened the Amazon box the smell of this coffee hit me, I knew I was in for something special.I immediately ground some & put it into my espresso maker, the first sip just blew me away! I could not believe the wonderful taste of this coffee. It was like nothing I have ever had before. The next morning I invited my neighbor over to try some also. We both came to the same conclusion that this was some of the best coffee we had ever tasted. She actually went home and ordered some for herself.I have to admit that Peaberry coffee is my favorite. Very stale coffee
Bought this one brand because it has a lots of reviews, I thought it will be fresher because of the high turnover but i was disappointed to receive a package with a September Expiry date. Very stale. I could imagine this coffee being very good when was fresh

More toasty than expected
For a peaberry, it was a much darker tasting roast than I expected. Still, the flavor was nice, just more Of a toasty caramel than I’m used to in a peaberry bean.

Intense flavor, from tiny beads
The bag has no valve, but was air tight. I guess the pressure was higher in Thailand than at my home, because the bag arrived distended like a small balloon. Having said that, which is no big deal, I immediately opened it and was blasted with intense aroma of freshly roasted coffee. The beans were so tiny, even smaller than the LeSeuer tiny peas. The coffee (espresso) was intensely flavorful and very pleasant on the palate, a bit short on crema. It' almost a crime to add sugar to it, but it would be good for making drinks because of the flavor. Great coffee!! Update: I have bought several bags of his now. Has a valve. Arrives partially deflated, and still fresh. Same delicious coffee.

Not quite what I expected
I had high expectation for the coffee after seeing the amount of positive reviews. I used pour-over style and tried a few different grind and just couldn't get to like it. The flavor seems to be a bit thin for my taste bud.
