I have short fine hair, but I have a LOT of it, so the frizziness and shapeliness can be difficult to manage without product. I use this every day for multiple purposes. It's great for when my hair is towel-dried: I'll swipe my fingers through the product and wiggle it into my roots for some extra volume before I let my hair air-dry the rest of the way. I'll also use it after it's dry to give my hair a bit more volume and texture. It does an amazing job of providing lift from root to end and separating the pieces of my bob to keep it from looking like a sad lump of hair. I admire my hairdressing skills every morning after using this stuff because honestly it looks so much better when I use it. Another huge bonus is the product itself is a sandy brown color, and because I have brown hair, it's not as obvious if I don't blend as well as I should. It also smells DIVINE. I bought this quite a while ago and have just barely gotten halfway through it, so a little goes a long way. I have very fine hair that is also very dense and problaby about 4 inches long on top. Gritty business is very clay-like and works well for "contained messy" look. It'll give you a firm hold that's still flexible enough to move a bit in the wind, but returns to the shape you want it. Matte finish means that you avoid that greasy NJ slick-back look.
