MEEDEN Large Studio Artist Easel: Heavy Duty H-Frame Easel for Painting

This easel is good quality, stable, looks nice & can be easily adjusted depending on what you’re using it for. It was easy to put together- all the parts were labeled and instructions were clear on how to assemble. So happy I finally bought a nice easel, worth the price and l would recommend!

Easy to use. Assembly was a little confusing but after it was placed together I fell in love. I’ve used it for my large and small canvases and both held well and did not move while painting . Very impressed.

First, this easel is absolutely beautiful. The beechwood is sturdy and easy on the eyes. The actual assembly is not too bad. The big killer problem is that the instructions are great - IF you use a microscope to read and like to guess the correct orientation and alignment. I assembled, unassembled and reassembled until I was blue in the face. BE SURE YOU LOOK AND READ VERY CLOSELY BEFORE starting your assembly.The only other problem was the screws that hold 1 & 2 parts to the H frame (5 & 6) are too short for appropriate use. I had to do two things to make them hold; Either dip the screw threads in wood glue and tighten them to the "just before" point. That's putting the screw in and tightening it until it's about to strip back. One's that felt like they were just hanging, I just got longer, comparable screws and used them to get a secure joint. Make sure you look at the little metal attachments and the orientation of the screw holes & little tiny baby screw holes.The finished product is a work of art in itself. But save yourself. Don't do like me and get so mad that the screws wouldn't grab that I threw my drill motor at the floor. This happened to land right next to my quite unappreciative Cat, who is still not talking to me. Seriously.Take your time and burn those instructions into your thoughts. And kudos to Meeden for the packaging and cool "cloth" bags that all the wood parts come in. The wood/metal guide that bolts to the bottom guide will not stay put. The screws and coming out and the entire bracket has had to be wood glued and clamped at least three times. Because of this, my canvas is always out of alignment. I decided that yesterday was the last time I do this. I sure hope Meeden sees this and can help with this bottom canvas "bracket". If you look at Maria's photos, it shows it all. The wooden block that attaches to the metal piece so the brackets can slide up and down the guide. Can you help?EDIT 10/24I'm sorry, but I got this easel in January 24. I wrote a good review based on my very limited experience. Now, I can say without reserve that I wish I had spent a bit more and got the Bob Ross easel or something that was better designed. The main problems are the upper and lower "brackets" that slide up and down and lock the canvas down. I have constantly fought with this thing concerning these parts being off level and the rear metal/wood slides cracking and breaking. I spent more on wood glue than I did on the easel. If you check my original review, I said the same thing about this. I should have figured it out when I originally had to repair the brackets. Rarely am I so unhappy with an AMAZON purchase. This is one of those. I've had wet canvases fall forward to the floor and ruin the work. I don't expect an answer as Meeden didn't answer me the first time when I asked them to please give me some help. That's ok. Maybe someone will see this review and prevent this from repeating and wasting their money!EDIT 6/25For 8 months I have had no use from this easel. All of the above and the promise from Meeden that their parts problem concerning the carriers for the canvas. While their customer service people are all nice, it's like the guy at the grocery running a cart into the back of your heel. Says "sorry" but it still is a pain. I have purchased another easel that is much more dependable. The Meeden sits where my cats can play on it. If I ever get the parts, I'll donate it to a assisted living or kids school. If you have one of these, obtain a large C-clamp and Vice Grips. You'll need them to keep the brackets from ruining your work. (And I STILL praise the materials and finish. It is the screws and brackets that are the spoilers)

I purchased an "Amazon Favorite" easel. It was light weight and very inexpensive. It claimed it was suitable for painting, not just displaying art. That was not true. It was not up to the task. I decided to buy something that clearly would hold a large canvas and be sturdy enough for painting. What a difference a quality product makes. Not only is this sturdy, it has so many adjustments you can achieve different heights and angles (even flat) and fit many canvas sizes. It is also a beautiful piece of furniture. I'm glad I spent a few extra dollars.

Terrible!! It’s taken me several weeks to find an entire day to put this together, confusing directions, I’ve put it together TWICE it’s Crooked, my canvas sits crooked, the entire easel is out of whack, several parts built sloppy . I’m literally in tears because I waited long time to have this and now I see I only had 30 days to return, today is Feb 10th, my return date ended on the 8th ! I would NOT recommend buying this brand or from this seller !

This is the most solid and sturdy easle I have ever used. The package is heavy. The contents are labeled and tools are provided. Easy one person set up. KEEP THE TOOLS PROVIDED. Does not wiggle or shake, and can laid flat.

It’s a nice wooden easel and its ability to swivel flat is a big plus, BUT the assembly instructions are very difficult to follow and my unit arrived minus critical parts. Since my query to the seller requesting the missing parts wasn’t answered, back to Amazon it goes. Caveat Emptor.

Idk what the reviews are on about it being confusing to put together , I even put it together w my bf and it took about 20 minutes and no arguing . I would recommend just taking your time to evaluate each photo, and yes the parts are labeled . It’s especially nice to put it together because then you have a better idea on how to operate it especially like me since this is the first easel I have ever owned . It’s beautiful wood , stable and feels like it will last me a life time. I like to paint on gigantic canvases so this didn’t feel flimsy at all . Take it from me I always do intense research when making a big purchase and this one was definitely worth it ! I hope this review finds to be helpful to someone else

My easel is very sturdy and was easy to assemble. The super adaptable top adjusts from upright verticle to horizontal and everywhere in between.

Die Staffelei wirkt wertig und stabil, der Aufbau war recht unkompliziert. Höchstens die Aufbauanleitung lässt hier und da Spielraum für Interpretationen, das hätte man besser lösen können. Wenn aber erstmal alles steht, eine gute Sache.War ein Geschenk an meine Frau, sie ist auch super happy und gerade die Ablage ist sehr praktisch.
