Great filter for an 06’ SAAB 9-5
Perfect fit for a 2006 Saab 9-5. Past few years doing my own oil changes, I’d always just use the freebie filter included with a 5 qt bundle. Whichever brand it was, there’d always be some slight defect on the rubber gasket or the filter threads. Occasionally this would translate into a minor leak days in.This Bosch was perfect out of the box. No leaks going a 1/4 turn past hand tight. Going to start using these for my oil changes from now on!

Works just as expected
No complaint whatsoever. My Saab 9-3 has been using one every year for several years. Direct substitute of GM/Saab OEM 55560202 filter.

Very Good
Bosch has always made good quality products, this oil filter is as good or better than OEM, the case is thick, the gasket is quality, filter has lots of layers, if you do not drive much and only change our oil 1-2 times a year and the oil filter stays on your car for along time , a quality filter is a good idea, or you have a 4x4 and the oil filter might hit a rock, or you are going on a long long long road trip, I got Bosch or mobile one or k&n filter when I plan to drive my car cross country at +10 hour drives, on my daily cars I just get the cheap walmart brand and change my oil every 3000-4000 miles or 1-3 months.

The Most Bang For Your Buck
Contrary to some reviews, this is FAR better for it's purpose than any mid level filter, and I would say it is one of the very best filters available for it's purpose. The reason for it's weight and thicker metal used is because it was primarily designed for MOTORCYCLES where the filter is low and exposed to road debris and higher temperatures. It also can be used on a number of other vehicle types as well where this thickness is not required. The NAPA referenced by another reviewer is built to the same general specs but for automotive purposes. Most filters in this size have much less filtering media, a much lower contaminate storage capacity, are not as robust, lack the higher number of threads that give the Bosch a more solid fit, and employ plastic internal components that can fail. For example an equivalent FRAM filter I used previously has much lower micron rating, but the plastic internal collar will melt and allow dirty oil past the seal. It has happened to me. Cut them apart and you'll see the differences in quality. There are many other great filters out there, some even a bit better, but none of those are even close to this price. I am not a Bosch employee ... but I buy a lot of filters for several bikes and have tried them all. I travel long distances by motorcycle to remote locations and can not afford to be stranded, so I'll grab these Bosch filters every time.

Fit in 2006 4Runner but smaller than OEM
2006 Toyota 4Runner 4.0 V6 - Ordered this instead of OEM (which I usually get) due to the lead time. The item arrived quickly and in good shape. The filter was visually shorter than the one I removed but installed without a problem and seems to do the job just fine. The quality is okay, the metal housing of the filter seems to be made of a thinner gauge than OEM and dents rather easily. I would feel comfortable using this filter in a pinch (if I had to) but will more than likely go back to OEM on my next oil change.
