Does this headboard have any holes drilled into the back for electric cords?

The headboard does not have holes drilled into the backing.

Can this be used with a platform bed?

Yes I just got mine and I am using my headboard as a standalone and I am using the bed to keep the headboard in place and it is working fine. 3/16/22

Does a mattres AND boxspring fit under this headboard or is it matress only?

I have a box spring and about a 12 inch mattress. These end about 4 inches below the first shelf. My only suggestion is to take a black marker after assembly to the back 1/8 inch edges so it blends in. Overall, I love this headboard for the storage No end tables needed!

Would the queen size work for a full bed?

Yes. There would some extra space on either side of the bed, but that's to be expected.
