This is really a 4.5 review. These are great deck feeders, very sturdy and allow for a variety of feeders to attract and accommodate various species of birds. Took half a star off because, unlike the water bowl, the mesh feeder is not an insert so I have to deconstruct the top so I can pull out the mesh feeder for cleaning, which is a pain. Such a simple fix! Still, I have 3 of them and they're a good value. I've come up with a workaround to clean the mesh feeder without having to disarm the whole contraption for cleaning, but it's such a simple fix that I'm surprised the manufacturer missed something so simple. I have a different deck feeder that comes with just the water bowl and the mesh feeder for the same price, which is a consideration, but on that one the mesh feeder is also an insert, so every time I have to clean them I have to consider whether it's worth paying the same price jut for the Convenience. Haven't made my mind up on the trade-off, so I just enjoy the bigger bang for the buck on these (I have 3 of them on my deck), and then the ease of cleaning on the other one that has only the water bowl and mesh feeder insert :)).

It is sturdy product with options. I have not used the big main hook yet and took off the “metal grill” box - the birds were not coming near the feeder station with the funky looking box hanging on the top! May be it looked like a cage to them !?? First few days, nothing happened…then smaller birds noticed it first followed by the BIG Master Squirrel 🐿 who still dominate the feeder….several birds of different kinds - from Robin , Cardinal , different sparrows to Dove now comes regularly to feed - some also drink from the tray - haven’t seen them taking a bath yet ….may be I need to hang a bird bath from one of the hooks.I love the product. Install was a very easy 👍🏼

My wife put them both together- we bought two, and they were perfect as we wanted to hang a bird feeder to our upper deck. Multiple hooks allow our broad variety of birds to each have what they want without waiting or fighting- Little birds feed from their feeder, larger ones from theirs and the woodpeckers get their suet. Hanging allows ants to be kept out using ant cream spread around the base. We took a chance and we're pleasantly surprised.

I would say that if you are looking to hang anything heavier than 5 lbs, DON'T. I am testing it right now, been up for 24 hours and hasn't fallen apart. With that said, I bought a sturdier hanger. This one is very plastic like, and poles could probably be bent easily by a strong person, and/or heavy object. I hung a planter (probably 8 lbs or so) and it's drooping. I don't think it will last long. Even for light bird feeders, I don't sturdy. I'd say pass on this, but just me. 4 stars are for design. Great idea and I haven't seen other like it.

Our birds (and squirrels) are loving this feeder - we have ours hanging off our back deck in the yard. Love that there are lots of different types of feeding options included with the feeder, including suet holders, tray feeders, a water bath and extra hooks. That makes it easy to cater to a variety of species, and since it's right off the deck, everything is very easy to reach for refilling and cleaning. Assembly was very easy, and the product is durable and well made.
