Great Purchase
I don’t usually leave reviews, but I wanted to give a positive review to this company. It’s a motion-sensor light you attach to your toilet bowl — super handy, especially at night. We bought ours back in February, and by June it stopped working. I reached out to the company expecting the usual hassle, but they actually waived the warranty and sent a new one right away. No questions, no pushback — just solid, helpful customer service. The product itself is really useful and works great. Honestly, I think every guy should have one — it’s a small thing that makes a big difference. And with a company that actually stands behind their product, it’s definitely worth it.

Works good if your hanging it above a toilet on a rack.
Great little light. Energizer batteries last just about exactly 20 days. Takes 3 AAA batteries. You can set the colors by covering the sensor and then uncovering it and pushing the button. Press the button and hold while covering the sensor to choose 3 different brightness. NOTE: give it a few seconds after you change batteries before it works. There seems to be a delay each time.

Buy This and You Too Will Be Pee-ved
Well, I waited as long as I could to finally review this, but here it goes.My long toilet bowl night light nightmare began back in July of 2016 when I purchased an off brand (aka not the official Illumibowl Shark Tank brand). It was wonderful and the perpetual puddle of pee next to the toilet bowl from my young boys getting up to pee at night and aiming for the general direction of the toilet bowl seemed to disappear, but one of my kids kept throwing it into the toilet. It soldiered on bravely after quite a few trips into the toilet bowl and then into a bagful of rice to dry out, but it sadly and unsurprisingly gave up the ghost after a couple months. I got a replacement which I taped down, but that one didn't last. So I tried another off brand (The first was GDEALER, and the second brand was iTaoBest). These would last for a few weeks, then get really dim and maybe only work with the red color. I'd replace the batteries, but it just stayed barely lit and only red or didn't work at all. Finally, I bought the Illumibowl on March 11 of 2017. That lasted about one month, taped down with Gorilla Tape, so it never took a urine bath, but then the light just stopped working. New batteries, but nothing. I contact Amazon, they send a replacement, which lasted about 3 weeks. No problem. It says lifetime warranty right on the box, so I emailed them (Illumibowl) and they sent out a free replacement without even asking me to send back the defective one. That one works great for a couple weeks, then it's the same thing.I email them and they are all, "No problem, pee happy, we'll send a new one!" and that one works great for a few weeks. Now listen, I know it's not the batteries; I would put fresh ones in and go into a pitch black room and there was nothing but a tiny faint glow. The bottom line is these things are all cheap Chinese junk. There is no difference between brands, and the iTaoBest actually worked better than the Illumibowl. They are supposed to be splash resistant I think (they are clinging to the side of a toilet bowl, for heaven sakes), but I theorize that they cannot handle the steam from showers. And if that is the case, then what's the point?I could contact Ilumibowl again and they would send me a fifth one, but I am as confident as I have ever been in anything that it would last no more than a month. So what does lifetime warranty mean? it means "We'll keep sending you free replacements until you get sick of the hassle."I just don't want to deal with it anymore. There is a happy ending here, though; I bought a motion-activated, battery powered LED strip that sticks anywhere (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B010Y1U1JO/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1), and I stuck it to the side of the vanity right under the lip of the sink next to the toilet, and when the little monsters meander in to pee at 2 a.m., they have plenty of light because the LED flashes on and they can see the entire toilet. And in this case, it is not touching the toilet, so it doesn't have a yellow urine film on the light and, so far, none of my precious little angels have thrown it into the toilet, even though I haven't Gorilla taped it down. It doesn't come on when the lights are on, so it saves batteries. So my advice to you is to completely forego the toilet night light product, no matter what brand. This one is certainly not any better than the imitators. It's a cool concept, but really, did anyone really think that an electronic device attached to a toilet bowl in a house of 5 males was going to be effective? I guess I did, but now you don't have to make the same mistake I did. And the ironic thing is I think it was my wife's long, luxurious, steamy showers that terminated each unit.As Trump would say, #BiglySad.

Better than the others
I bought one back in March putting my faith in Mr. you know who.It works fine but goes through batteries quicker than I like but other than that it's one of the better ones.Mine quit working at the end of December so I wrote them an email, since the instruction pamphlet says it has a lifetime guarantee.I asked them about the guarantee, and they wrote back it's only for 3 months. No biggie. It did work great and it was cheap. Time to order another.

Towards the light
I've purchased this item four or five times and I love it and people are complaining the batteries don't work use better batteries I've used three Duracell double a batteries and it lasted for 8 to 9 months I guess it depends on how you treat them. When I clean my toilet bowl I remove the light censored apparatus wipe it down with a lightly damp cloth you can even use Lysol wipes to clean it down and put it back. Gave my elderly parents one of these for their main bathroom they love it.. if the light is staying on red or blinking red that is an indication to change your batteries. I bought these right away when I saw them they were on shark tank and as soon as they were available on Amazon I bought them it's a good investment and it's cheap kids love it too potty train my granddaughter with one of these.

This cool gadget needs a better motion sensor
The media could not be loaded. To begin with, this is the coolest little low priced gadget that I have seen in a long time! And what an awesome idea to keep from having to turn the lights on when going to the bathroom at night. The brightness is perfect, it’s surprisingly stays on the toilet rim pretty well, and there are many choices of lighting available. The only problem is the motion sensor is absolutely horrible. You can see just how bad in my video. I bought two of these, and they both worked identically. Perhaps this would work better in a larger bathroom where there is more time to catch movement, but all 4 of my toilets are in water closets or other small rooms off a main bathroom. As to whether or not I would recommend this, I’m not sure. If you love little technological gadgets this is probably for you even with its limitations. But if you are really relying on this to keep you from falling on your way to the toilet, this is not your gadget YET. Not until the motion sensor is improved.
