Motion Sensor Light, 360 Degree Rotation Rechargeable Motion Sensor LED Night Light, Stick On/Screw In Anywhere White Light

I am only buying the rechargeable motion sensor lights from here on in. In addition, I am also in the process of replacing our other battery operated night lights throughout the house. The cost efficiency of a rechargeable device is one main advantage and it only takes a short while to recharge, as opposed to the extra effort to shop for so many different kinds of batteries that we need for our various sensor night lights.This is a very efficient motion sensor night light and it has the options for the both the rechargeable power and/or battery operation. It comes with an adhesive sticky mounting disk for an effortless installation. One side fastens to the flat bottom base on motion light holder and the other sticky side attaches to the required location. This is perfect for me as I don’t like any installation process that necessitates making holes, which ruins the walls in our home.This round ball shaped motion sensor light has a diameter of 3 ¼” inches along the front where the light shines out. The bottom base of the holder which attaches to the wall (or other location) has a diameter of just about 3” inches.There are two sets of controls on the round outer perimeter. One switch clicks from a high light setting to a lower, and the other offers a choice of an automatic on/off sensing mode, or a steady light that works similar to a hand held flashlight.Although this motion sensor light unit comes with its own charging cable, there is a place for 3 AAA batteries. The battery department location is beneath the twist-off back cover.The sensor light comes with a strong magnetic holder shaped like a round dish and with a smooth and inclined middle portion that most likely contains a magnet. The ball shaped sensor light has a metal lining within the back plastic cover, and this grasps the magnetized dish to fit securely within the holder. This offers the motion sensor light to be in any position and to remain secure and without falling out of its holder. Therefore, it will adhere to the ceiling and hang upside down, or flush against a vertical wall without slipping off.In our home, we have a U-shaped staircase with a large platform in the middle. Previously, I had installed a motion sensor light that lit the steps from the upper level and we can see our way down the steps. I have located this new motion sensor light in the area of the platform that separates the upper and lower stairs, because as we make a turn to go up the steps it’s very dark until the sensor light on the upper levels detects our movement.As we climb the steps toward the platform, this motion sensor senses our movements from approximately, 4 – 6 feet away. The light comes on, and throws enough illumination to see our way up the second level. I think that the difference of range before it detects our presence is due to any background lighting, because it senses our movements faster when this area is darker and without any light. The timing of the sensor light is approximately 25 seconds after any movement has stopped, or if the movement has moved beyond the sensor range. The light is extremely bright on highest intensity and I had to switch it to the dimmer level because the illumination was almost blindingly too bright.We are very pleased with the performance of the motion sensor light. It’s fast to detect our presence as we come up the lower stair level and it shines enough light to get us to the top, and remains lit for a sufficient amount of time before it automatically turns itself off.The other advantage is the ease in which it removes from the holder to serve as a hand held light. Our dog woke me up two mornings in a row, at around 4:00 AM due to an upset stomach. It was extremely convenient to grab the sensor light from the holder as I rushed down the stairs. This was a savior as we ran through the house to let him out through the back door due to his urgent need. I was able to ‘fly’ down our stairs, run down the hall and kitchen to the back door and without the need to stop and turn on an overhead light.

***UPDATE*** 1 1/2 years later and still going. I ended up buying 3 more for a total of 4. Now there is 1 in the mudroom, 1 in the laundry room, and 2 under the kitchen cabinets. Now, we can walk into the room without turning on the overhead lights which really help with little ones in the house.I think this one is great so far. It arrived yesterday so I can't say how long it will last but for $6, it's a deal. The light is a clean frosted white hue. The options of high or low are noticeable and a good thing. I chose this for 1. my children to easily use the bathroom when dark since they can't reach the light switches 2. my elderly mother who doesn't see well in dim light. This way either the light will come on when the child walks into the bathroom or my mother can grab the actual light part (from the base) and take it with her in the dark. This would have been great when we lost power last week. I like the ability to charge via USB versus buying endless batteries. Also, because it detaches from the magnetic base, you can angle the light as you will. I would describe the size of the light as half of a coffee mug. It's compact but big enough to work well. I'm very happy with this purchase so far.

Wow, this ended up being lightyears ahead of all the LED rechargeable lights I've bought. I have an obssession with the new motion sensing type, such as this, and can easily say this is the best so far. Will be buying a few more. Magnetic base proved to be the gamechanger for me as I can easily slap it on or take it off my outside door to have a patio light. it is very bright and sensitive to motion. Design is very sleek too. A+ product.Oh, and 6th star if I could for extremely long battery life and quick charging speed.
