Excellent. I’ve been taking this for two months and I have been feeling better.

I am compound heterozygous MTHFR A1298C + C677T. Have suffered severe chemical depression since I was in high school. After receiving these test results my psychiatrist put me on Deplin, and when those ran out I opted to Amazon for l-methylfolate. I have switched around different brands, and after much research and through experimentation I noticed that when I added a Betaine supplement my energy levels were instantly increased, that day. The folate + betaine relationship is explained in a few papers but the gist is that betaine provides the right pH in stomach for the vitamin to be properly absorbed. Folate is a water-soluble and tricky vitamin. I have just started taking this at night time now, because I simply no longer eat enough during day to want to waste taking a pill. This being my first time with this brand, I did not notice a major difference, but that is because I've already been taking l-methylfolate. It seems to be keeping up and doing its job. This stuff will make you pee neon yellow after; I didn't notice that in previous brands. It doesn't bother me but worth mentioning . I purchased this product specifically because it also has B12, which is needed in the methylation cycle. B9 and B12 are needed together in adequate amounts. I also like that there is some niacin in here as I wanted to start that. I am definitely going to keep purchasing this product for the price point and nutritional value.

Absolutely love! Was prescribed the Biote one after labs came back low, felt amazing after that bottle but found this and it was much cheaper. I still feel great after taking. Love that I only have to take 1 pill a day instead of 2 with the Biote as well. Will continue to purchase. Does make your urine slightly darker, just an FYI.

I don’t normally write reviews. My psychiatric PA recommended this for my partial mthfr mutation I inherited from my mother. She’s at the point where all medications build to toxic levels in her system and she can’t take anything to treat her conditions. I’m hoping to help her use this product and see the results I have. I’m hoping taking this for the rest of my life will help me not get her heart issues and such in the future. I pray to Jesus that this product is never discontinued.I am very in bed with prescriptions and western medicine. My PCP would prescribe anything and everything to help my 4 mental health disorders. I have been dealing with severe and life threatening mental health issues since I was 12 years old. I’m 27 now. I honestly thought supplements were a bunch of hooey.I was on 2 prescriptions on and off for 8 years that I recently found cause significant drug interactions with the mutation. The interaction probably ruined my thyroid and caused my IBS. I struggle with weight and chronic fatigue/insomnia.This supplement has made me better able to absorb my medications, better able to be awake, and helped me lose 8 pounds in about a month. I’ve been stuck at at 210lbs for over 4 years. I used to weight 140-160. This supplement is helping me access the medications I need to lead a sane life. It has been a building block to getting my life back and being the normal well adjusted person I am.I can not stress enough that this supplement is the reason I am able to get up in the morning while my father is dying of terminal cancer and while I struggle everyday to have a job with 8 chronic conditions.Update 9/25/20I went off this supplement awhile ago due to just mismanagement of my stock. Since this review I’ve lost both my parents and gone on and off large doses of gabapentin and benzodiazepines. The last 2 years were some of the most harrowing times I’ve ever experienced. It’s been pure hell. My goal with this review isn’t to say this magic little pill cured my sometimes train wreck of a life. But it helped so much and I don’t know why I ever stopped taking it after reading this again. Short story, we are all suffering a lot right now and maybe you don’t have the 20 bucks for this pill, but it will help a ton and I really regret going off of it and look forward to regaining some relief again. I’ve been using this for some time now and it’s a good baseline. I find I still need to supplement myself with 5 more mg of methylfolate, but I like that this has a general foundation of methylated B vitamins to work with. This is coming from someone with severe issues from my MTHFR variants. A single dose of this might be enough for others.Also though in the description it says this ias only type of folic acid that can blah blah blah. This is NOT folic acid, which is synthetic. Not found in food. This is a type of FOLATE which is found in real food. There is so much misinformation and the fact it says that on Amazon’s description misleads people into thinking they’re the same. So wanted to point that out so people are aware.Also I like that it turns my urine bright yellow as it reminds me I took it, ha.
