Bought these for Christmas entertaining. This size of the shells were slightly smaller than i expected. However this pasta demonstrated excellent ability to hold its shape when cooked! It also presented with a distinct amount of flavor and texture that many pasta products I have tried lack. The packaging gives clear information of its production process, which is different from many pasta products. It is also non GMO , which is something I commonly look for in food

This pasta is great and holds up well for hot dishes or cold salad salads.Highly prefer it over the other brands available locally. It is delivered consistently fresh with a long range expiration date.Happy to have it on my subscribe and save.

DeCecco pasta is more expensive than the store brand, but the taste and texture is worth the extra money. Cheaper pastas are mushy and have little or no taste when compared to slow dried pastas like DeCecco. In addition, pastas like DeCecco are extruded using a bronze die that gives it a slightly rough surface texture that holds the sauce better. These pastas are also slow dried and lighter in color as opposed to quick dried versions that are darker, almost orange, in color. Why prepare a pasta dish using quality ingredients only to degrade the meal using cheap pasta.

This pasta was recommended to us by a friend who is a very good cook. So, I purchased several varieties of this brand of pasta, and have since made several classic dishes, such as lasagna, spaghetti bolognese, fettuccini alfredo, etc. Every single one came out superbly! This pasta has a very delicate and delicious flavor. But one of the best things it offers is a rough surface. This allows the sauce you add to the dish to cling to the pasta. In other words, it does not just slip off as it does with pasta without this characteristic. You must try it. It is really very different from ordinary pasta and just delicious!
