Debunking the 1 star Karen's
Even in a newer central air house, my room still gets pretty hot, not roasting but enough to be uncomfortable. I did lots of searching for a fan like this and ended up with this one. Assembly took 2 minutes tops, literally a 3 year old could figure it out. You need to get 2 AAA batteries for the remote but oh well I didn't care. The fan has 8 modes. I plugged it in and my God is it quiet. Even at top speed its pretty quiet. I only need it in my bedroom and its not that big of a room so I don't go above the 2nd speed if that. Its actually pretty cool air for a FAN and NOT an air-conditioning unit. I would recommend this one to anyone. I looked at all the reviews on multiple units including the negative, this had the least negative reviews and let's be honest every product is going to have someone complain about something there's no getting around it. I'm a not hard to please kinda guy and this had me surprised by how efficient and quiet it is. 100% buy this if you want a fan as good as the description says. Don't let the Karen's of the 1 star reviews tell you otherwise 😂-Cam ( A certified Karen de-bunker )

A Solid Fan, Not an AC Unit
To begin with, no fan is a substitute of an AC system, those that use one need to understand thermodynamics, AC units remove the heat from the room and have super-cooling methods that wouldn't be used in a fan. To get air OUT of a room, you need an exit, an open door, window, etc.I use mine in support of our AC unit, which is all the way in the living room (and struggles to reach my room). Fans are mainly intended to keep the air circulating, but by doing so also slightly (but noticeably in enclosed environments, far more than in open) increase the temperature as a byproduct. However, fans do make it more bearable, and make a significant difference when centered onto the person in question. It's a rather quiet, and tall fan, as opposed to the arguably much stronger, less efficient, and louder box fan that I used to have. This fan does rotate, has multiple settings including ones (that at the lower levels) are little more than white noise, meaning it can be used to give a slight cooling sensation, without being overwhelming, while also staying just loud enough to drown out the disturbances of the night, an owl hooting at an odd hour, birds flying around, etc.Is it perfect, no, in my case my bed happens to be too tall (which I had just set up a day prior to receiving the fan) to make the full use of the fan at night, however the white noise helps with sleeping, and it still does keep a good deal of the heat off at night. I would recommend it to someone who understood what they were looking for in a fan, and what they would be getting. If you are looking for a fan, not an AC unit, this is something that I would recommend.

Worked for a month now can’t use higher than second setting!!
The media could not be loaded. I liked this fan when first using it but now i hate it! It was not worth the money or hassle I went through getting it..... bought and received the first part of February and started using it mid April worked fine for first month Of occasional use but now I can’t use any higher than second setting or it makes a horrible loud noise!!! Ridiculous I bought it to replace a fan I had been using for almost 5 1/2 years running almost non stop that entire time! Yet this more expensive newer fan didn’t last a month! Like I said RIDICULOUS!!

My best fan EVER
I hate the heat! I dislike Summer. Fans have been a NECESSITY for me ALL my life. At @ 7 weeks short of 70... I'm qualified to give an opinion. This is the best combination of Breeze vs. Noise I've ever had. It's 6/13/17; it's 94 (NINETY FOUR!) degrees outside my NJ condo & I'm coping. In a recliner in gym shorts with fan on 6th of 8 settings is great... Much better than I had hoped.I chose it (1) because of other reviews & (2) the Brand Name HONEYWELL.UPDATE :Now it's Oct 7th and I haven't changed my mind. Got me thru the summer in fine fashion. I'll say it again : "This is the best combination of Breeze vs. Noise I've ever had."

Good if you’re looking for a quiet fan, but doesn’t have a lot of oomph
I got this fan for my 18’x13’ game room. Unfortunately, I found it’s not very powerful, even at top speed. There are eight speed settings and the top is labeled “Power Cool.” The term is a bit misleading. In reality, the force of this fan is comparable to my Honeywell Tabletop Air-Circulator Fan HT-904 on its lowest setting. The positive is that the fan has a decent spread at the sides, making the rotating feature less necessary in scenarios where people are sitting in a close proximity (such as the same couch). Due to lack of power, I find it’s better suited for a standard 11’x11’ bedroom, not a master bedroom, gaming room or living room. That said, if you are looking for a quite fan at low speeds and don’t need a strong air push (cutting), then this would be a decent choice. The lowest setting, “sleep,” produces a very low hum. The forth speed, “White Noise,” is approximately as loud as the lowest speed on my Honeywell Tabletop HT-904. The eighth and top speed, “Power Cool,” is approximately as loud as the HT-904’s medium speed. The fan speed does not affect the speed of the fan rotation (aka “Oscillation”), which has only one speed. (A low fan speed doesn’t slow the rotation down, nor does a high fan speed make it rotate faster.) It takes about 10 seconds to completely rotate from one side to the next. That puts the fan position in the center of the unit every 10 seconds. The unit was easy to assemble. It’s simply a matter of snapping together two plastic pieces for the base, attaching them with two screws (can use fingers, no need for a screwdriver), lowering the fan housing into the base, securing a locking nut (hand tightened), and then snapping the cord into place. The bottom has six small, hard-rubber feet that let the fan sit nicely on flat surfaces, such as hardwood floors and tile—doesn’t jump around or move position when in use. It sits nicely on carpet too.The remote is a welcomed option, which seats at the back of the fan when not in use—this is a handy storage location because it is out of sight yet convenient to access. As a result, the remote is shaped somewhat funny (boxy, square), so it doesn’t rest in your hand as comfortably as a more traditional, slimmer, rectangular remote. Also, it uses infrared technology, which means you have to point the remote directly at the fan—it won’t work through things like walls, furniture or people standing in front of you. Requires two AAA batteries, not included. The remote will turn the fan on and off, adjust the fan speed and toggle the fan rotation. The latter is nice in that you can start the rotation and then toggle it off (with the fan still running) once in position, all without having to get up. Note that there are no controls on the remote to trigger the sleep timer or control panel light brightness.Speaking of which, the sleep timer can be set to 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours. The control panel lights can be set to 100%, 75%, 50%, or 25% brightness. Or you can turn them off altogether. When you turn the unit off either by the remote or at the base, it remembers the fan speed once you turn it back on, but it does not remember the rotation, sleep timer or brightness setting. So, when powering back up, the brightness goes back to 100%, the rotation is inactive, and the timer is not set. I can understand the timer, but I would have liked the other two settings to remain in memory. For instance, if you only run the fan at night in your bedroom, it would have been nice if the unit remembered you wanted the lights dimmed at 25%. Toggling each time can get cumbersome. After all, the toggling is not a + or – situation, it’s only one button which cycles through at one direction. For example, the fan speed button advances the setting from lower to higher, so once you get to the eighth speed, it jumps back down to the first. In an ideal setting, I would be able to go from eighth to seventh with a single back button click. But on this fan, to get from eighth to seventh, you have to click the button and climb back up. Meaning, it takes seven clicks to go from the eighth speed to the seventh. (The same is true whether using the button on the base or remote.)The manufacturer recommends using a pipe cleaner, flexible dust wand, vacuum cleaner or compressed air to remove dust from the grills and blade. Use a soft cloth to gently wipe the outer surfaces of the fan.Overall, I was disappointed by the poor power level. Using the current eight settings as a measure, I would ideally have wanted the fan to reach up to a power level of sixteen. But this fan is designed more for being quiet, which makes a better bedroom option IMO. Though limited, I really like having a remote, and as mentioned, it has a great storage location on the fan itself. This unit makes for a good space saving option, as it’s slim and does not take up a lot of width on the floor (it is 40” tall, however, so keep that in mind). I rated it 4-stars because “I like it” overall, and in the proper setting, it makes for a good solution.

It's not quiet.
Don't usually write reviews. I had to for how bad this product is.The air flow is great. That's the only good thing. It's so damn loud even in sleep mode constant rattling when it's oscillating regardless of the fan power level. The only remedy is to turn the power on lowish and stop it oscillating. Even then it's still damn loud.If you're buying this for it be quiet don't bother.Update: reduced to 1 star. The sound became so much worse. Stopped using it went back to old fan instead.

Looks stylish, is very quiet and works well!
Looks very stylish in a room, cools well and is super quiet compared to a normal fan. Can easily watch tv at normal volume and it doesn't distract from the tv.

Disappointed
This is the second one of these I’ve brought for my kids, unfortunately this one arrived in a box that appeared to be resealed. On assembly a plastic lug in the stand was pre-broken as shown. My son was extremely disappointed with the thought of sending it back, so we assembled it anyway and it seems to be holding up. Not what you’d expect from an £80 product.

Rickety garbage
Rickety piece of junk, Not sure how this gets its name as it’s far from quiet. Don’t waste your money on this, it’s loud, rickety and generally poor quality.
