I already have the ds80. can i use the ds80 media kit in this printer?

YES. The supplies for a DNP printer like the DS80 are referred to as a media kit. Each kit contains the dye sublimation ribbon for a specific print size and a roll or photo paper. I go through several boxes of DS80 8 x 10 Media a year and I just added an 8 x 12 media kit to my most recent order.
