Cute and it works!
This was something that we added to our front porch gutter. It is the perfect touch. So cute. Easy to install.

Build a rain chain
Building the chian was super easy. I didn't expect to have to put it together, it looks cool. Haven't gotten a hard enough rain to see how they function yet. But I have the coolest gutters in the holler now lolI like it

Love
This is my second purchase of these chains. I use for a decorative effect. Love them. Quality is good. Assembly required but actually easy and fun to piece together and just takes a couple minutes. Love these things!!!

assembly required
I almost sent this back when it first arrived because to my surprise, it has to be put together one link at a time. It is a simple procedure, but takes about fifteen or twenty minutes to complete. The piece of paper they send you to explain how to assemble it is not very clear, so it is helpful to go online and watch the assembly video. This all seems a lot of effort for a cheaply made item that I expected to be usable right out of the box. Having said that, once you assemble and install the item, it looks nice and seems to work pretty well for its intended purpose. But they really should make it much more clear before you buy it that assembly is required.

Effective and attractive
I purchased four sets of this chain several years ago, replacing a more typical and uninteresting copper continuous-chain design. They look great and, more importantly, they work well and have held up remarkably well over time. When I first got them, I was surprised by the package of individual disks that needed to be assembled, but they all went together quickly and easily and the interlocking disk design really channels the water no matter how fast the rate of flow. It is important that the chain be anchored at ground level to something. In my application, They are attached to the drain covers that carry the water away from my house.

pretty groovy
it's a little work to put these together, but not terribly challenging. They'll fit right through the hole your downspout leaves when you remove it from your home, or you can drill a 3" hole with a holesaw where you want it.It's actually really nice to watch the water freeze on it as it trickles down.Note: MAKE SURE to measure the height that you need... this is long enough for a flat single-story dwelling with no stairs. If you have to go up stairs to get in your front door, you may want something longer or to buy an extra kit.

Poor quality and material
I should’ve read the reviews about long and tedious assembly but i didn’t think it would be this bad. See assembly instructions to link each ring which is probably 100.Plus ring material is super flimsy and weak. See the weight of 1 ring is just 5 grams. Will return. Guess I’ll have to buy the more expensive one for quality.

They were easy to hang from gutter after I removed the downspout ...
These chains were not too difficult to assemble, although they do ship completely in individual parts. Only took me 5 minutes and three beers. Also, a short trip to the ER. But that was her fault, not mine, and I'm sticking to my story. They were easy to hang from gutter after I removed the downspout and threw it in my neighbors yard, although I do recommend the additional accessory to mount inside the actual gutter. Also, I did use some silicone caulk in the gutter to seal in the mount because before I did that, the water just poured out everywhere. Afterwards, it did peacefully cascade down the chain all the way to the ground. In heavy rain, all hell breaks loose, but to be quite honest, who the hell is in their yard during a heavy rain storm anyway, watching the dangling chains of oppression contain the nourishing water of life from splashing wherever the universe has intended. In all, I did find this to be a very nice purchase. Don't expect it to bring you to Nirvana, but it's better than some crappy downspouts.
