I was excited to try this brush. I was tired of using a scrunched up ball of aluminium foil and was warned this left slivers or microscopic bits of aluminum in grilled food.This brush is really easy to use and works very well. It's very well made and works impressively. However, after using it, the brushes were black (of course) & I have no idea how to clean it. It developed mold on the blackened ends (disgusting). I sprayed the brush with a degreaser spray and rinsed it with a forceful water spray outside. That process cleaned it somewhat but not really well. Obviously it needs to be soaked right away in something. If someone knowsa natural product that would clean this brush thoroughly, I'd not only use it but give this brush a 5 star rating.

I got a nice, big steel brush with nylon bristles so I don't damage the porcelain coating on my grill, but I quickly realized the stupidity of having a metal scraper permanently on the end of it. It makes me nervous using it because the scraper always wants to bang into the back of the inside of the grill, and I don't want to scratch the paint back there. It makes no sense to me that most of the brushes with nylon bristles have metal scrapers anyway since you're not supposed to use steel bristles on the grates and you certainly don't want to use a big metal scraper, I don't think.Anyway then I got a little propane grill for camping and decided to get this little brush to use with that. It works very nicely. I really like the control I get just holding it in my hand, and I don't have to worry about scratching anything.It's even pretty reasonable to use on my big grill. I'd probably prefer one with a handle for that, but I'm considering getting another one of these for the big grill as well just because of not having a metal scraper, which is hard to find for some reason.

I was skeptical about buying this, as in the past I've always purchased metal brushes. I was pleasantly surprised at the amazingly hard work this brush was capable of! Doesn't damage the grill and still does the job right! I will definitely buy again!
