A must for anyone with head sweat
As a man who's shaved his head for the last 20 years...I sure wish I had gotten these sooner lol. I have some horribly nasty smelling head sweat, as I sleep hot and have no hair to collect any of it. So my pillows take the brunt end of that mess, and I'm forced to wash my pillows no less than twice a month. It doesn't sound like much I know, but when you have memory foam pillows...they take forever to dry. I've thrown out several pillows over the years because they just didn't dry enough and got mildew ridden.I finally had a lightbulb moment, and did a search for these kind of covers online...not knowing if they even existed. I picked up a set, and now I don't have to wash my pillows anymore, or at least far far less often. Instead I just take this cover off and wash it instead. I've yet to have any sweaty smell get to my pillow while using these. They work so good I got something similar for my memory foam mattress...helps with body sweat, and dog odors.I don't recommend sleeping on it without a pillow cover. It does have a bit of plasticy feel to it, and it does make a little crinkly noise. It's nothing that a normal person can't deal with. If you're moving around enough to hear this then you probably have bigger issues with sleeping that shouldn't be blamed on this cover lol. I don't hear it at all unless I'm listening for it, and I'm a light sleeper. The benefit of having a pillow cover over this is that it does lower the amount of times that I need to wash this as well.I don't know how waterproof this thing is as far as being able to spill a cup of water on it, or if the dog has an accident on it. I suppose if you try hard enough then it probably will fail to protect your pillow, but from normal sleeping I doubt you'll have any issues.

Great quality! Just wish I ordered them sooner.
I have 4 king size memory foam pillows that were shedding a ton of fiberglass. If you didn’t know, memory foam pillows and mattresses are coated with fiberglass during manufacturing to act as a flame retardant. The only way you can tell it’s there is by shining a flashlight on your mattress or pillows or once they start pricking you. They’re pretty thin, tiny glass fibers but you won’t miss it as they reflect light back. By the time I realized I even had this issue it was all over the bedroom. Floors, clothes, furniture. EVERYWHERE.I didn’t want to throw away the mattress set since I recently bought it and it was pretty expensive. So I purchased these pillow protectors and a mattress cover from a different seller on Amazon. I must say I’m amazed that these could make such a difference. After deep cleaning the room and using the protectors I haven’t spotted glass fibers on any nearby surfaces. These pillow protectors are made of soft, tightly sewn fabric so they prevent any of the pillow fibers from escaping. They also have a zipper on one end that keep the pillow completely enclosed. I do like that they are breathable and not noisy like other protectors that are vinyl based. I washed the pillow protectors prior to using them and they held up well during a hot wash cycle and low heat dry. They look like they will hold up for many years. I’m happy that such a small investment can make such a difference. My baby co-sleeps alongside in his bassinet and I now have some peace of mind knowing that none of us will be exposed to this issue anymore. I just wish I had ordered them sooner!I provided close up pictures of protectors to give you a sense of the fabric quality/material. Hope this helps everyone especially those unaware of the fiberglass memory foam issue. Overall I would purchase again!

Interior far less durable than exterior
Last night I started finding chips of white "paint" in my bed... which is odd because my walls are blue. I went to flip my pillow over and a ton more chips fell out. Turns out the plastic lining completely disintegrated. My vacuum is now full of plastic chips and my bed is a mess.I had this case for about 3 years. While the pillow usually gets replaced before then for going flat, the pillowcase is usually fine and I certainly don't expect to wake up in the middle of a snow globe. The fabric is fine so I had no reason to suspect the interior self-destructing. Just perform an inspection before and after every wash and be prepared for a potential surprise down the road.

I'm not so sure about these
Too many mixed reviews . I didn't read the reviews before buying these as I had bought so many items for my bed. People say these aren't waterproof. I'm too scared to use them. I sweat too much. I can't ruin my down pillows. It will flatten them out. I'm going to just return them. But some say they worked for waterproofing so its confusing. I would test them out but then I wouldn't be able to return them. I didn't even open the shipping package. I found a deal on some thick Terry queen size that are 32 inches long and I'm hoping my 36 inch goose down king size pillows I just got a screaming deal on here on Amazon will squish into them and just be a bit firmer.. we will see. I will still keep them. They are awesome. I love pillows and pillow protectors. I wish someone would test it out and solve the answer. An 8 hour test. With a towel inside the protector.

If waterproof is an important feature, move on...
They are very comfortable pillow cases It's not like sleeping on a plastic bag. I was very happy with these pillow cases until the main reason I bought them was tested. The primary feature I was looking for was waterproof. I was buying some nice new pillows and wanted to make sure they were protected from a spill or even more importantly a cat accident. The cat put the waterproof feature to the test tonight and it failed miserably. The waterproof case acted more like a sponge than a barrier. Going to have to replace the pillow and search for a waterproof case that is actually waterproof.
