Yes i used them for thick shampoo and conditioner they worked perfectly!

Q: Do you have to push down on dispenser to lock it or can you simply turn it to lock?

It locks with just a turn, not a push.

Q: Will these dispense thick comditioner easily? Are they durable if they fall onto shower floor? Thanks

I use a thick hand soap and it dispense easily. Dropped the bottle and it was fine. Plastic and all.
