Oregon Chainsaw Safety Protective Helmet with Visor Combo Set, Yellow

I absolutely love this Chainsaw Helmet. What a great item! I purchased this based on Oregon's legendary reputation and having owned their Chainsaw Chaps and Chainsaw chains. I was not disappointed. This helmet exceeded my expectations!First let's talk Fit. I have a very large head - I wear a 2xl cap size and 7 3/4 hat size in fedoras and cowboy hats. So, I wasn't sure this would fit - but it does fit with room to spare! The inner liner retention system was already installed and is fully adjustable. I just turned the dial and voila, a perfect fit!Now let's talk quality. This thing is very durable. Yes it's plastic, but it super-hard and thick, and is built like a construction helmet. It has an extra ridge at top to help deflect impacts and breather hole vents to keep your noggin cool. The mesh screen shield is awesome. It is steel mesh, unlike others that are cheap flimsy vinyl or plastic. I compared this to a Stihl helmet, ant the Stihl helmet was like a kid's play toy compared to this Oregon model, which is superior.The steel mesh screen shield in my opinion is superior to a solid clear plastic one, because in the past, I've had the solid clear plastic ones fog up in cool weather - not something you want to have happen while you're handling a dangerous tool like a chainsaw! But this steel mesh one is fully breathable, and durable. You can also see clearly out of it. I can read through it, which states to its clarity.The earmuffs are great for multiple reasons. Of course, to dampen out noise from chainsaws. But even if you're running a much quieter electric chainsaw, these earmuffs work to both keep your ears warm in cold environments, and most importantly, they keep your helmet retained on your head better than a chinstrap. With them on, your helmet is strapped tight to your head and won't come off in case you are struck by impact, or are leaning down, bending over, looking up, etc.All in all, I give this Oregon Helmet 5-Stars. If you are on the fence about getting one of these, I highly recommend this helmet over all others. It's well worth the price, and you can't put a price on your life or safety.

Protects my face, eyes and ears while using a chainsaw or weed eater.

Being a first time user of the chainsaw, I really appreciated this protection device. I had an issue trying to assemble it, yet my girlfriend took over and had it done within a minute or two. I love how the ear protection fitted and the adjustment feature of the helmet. It is all very comfortable. It helps to keep debris from hitting you in the face, as well as falling objects. I even used it in the wood shop and it works great for a face cover while routing. My only problem was trying to eat a banana without lifting it up first, lol! The screen mesh becomes practically invisible after wearing it for a few minutes. Very happy with my purchase! Just keep in mind, if you need to spit or eat a banana, lift up the face shield first, lol! Great design!

Little fiddily to assemble, I found a video that helped me get things snapped together the correct way. Fits my big head well and the ear muffs cover well without any slop.

Great Head / Eye Gear Protection when using chain saws or power tools that kick cutting material back to face area. Good quality, worth the purchase!

Fairly easy to assemble after watching a how to video on you tube. I recommend being careful about snapping the ear protectors away and instead just leave them where they are or pivot them up on the helmet otherwise the plastic may break. The size was a little smaller than I would have preferred. The best feature was the screen face protector, much better then a plastic shield or glasses because it provides protection and doesn't fog up.
