Great knives
Great knives, really sharp, my only issue is the drag you get on the blade sides due to the colour coat on the blade! This does wear off therefore less drag to none. For the price and variation I would definitely recommend 👍

Extremely sharp, light & ergonomic
Update: the handles are quite heavier than the blades, thus they lose balance easily. I dropped them twice from the kitchen counter & luckily didn't fall on my feet but please bear this in mind.Note 💀: They're extremely sharp, my finger just by brushing last it on the counter by mistake. So please place it facing away from you & far from where you're working in the kitchen! On first impression, these have a very nice feel to them. Satin soft to touch, super light & ergonomic to hold, thin, very sharp. This is a Santoku style knife, definition:Santoku knives or to give them their full name Santoku bocho knives, which translates as 'three uses', are ideal for mincing, dicing and slicing, as they feature a straight edge with a narrow sheep's foot blade. These knives have evolved from the traditional Japanese vegetable knife which has a rectangular blade.I find for soft vegetables (eg tomatoes) knives with a ridged edge (slightly textured) work better but these cut soft ones very nicely. They cut fairly well & so far I'm quite happy with them. But I've found similar styles at a better price in TKMaxx. It comes with a knife sharpener which is a useful addition.

They are ok
The box was well presented and could potentially make a nice gift with the way the knives are presented inside. These knives and the sharpener were less then £30 so I think with this case you do get what you pay for, two knives that are perfect for beginner cooks, maybe even someone just moving out of home of starting uni. The more experienced cook might find these to be less desirable I don't know but for me they were lightweight and balanced nicely.

A nicely presented, useable and sharp knife set
Cooking has always been a hobby of mine and I was even a professional chef in my early twenties. I have owned and used a wide variety of knives and was pleased to be able to try this set. It is beautifully presented in a neat storage box and includes the two knives, dual sharpener and a user information card. These knives are light and well balanced. The handles give a confident grip, there is minimal flex in the blades and they are well suited to everyday food preparation duties. They were both sharp, on arrival but it is always handy to have a matching sharpener to keep the edges honed. I tend to check my knives once a week or so but would also use ad hoc sharpening prior to particular tasks. The larger knife is great for slicing and dicing, while the smaller knife is good for vegetables, peeling and general prep. One does need to be a bit careful when sharpening the knives because the sharpener is quite small but other than that the set works very well. The larger knife is also good for finely chopping garlic or herbs and one can get a useful rocking motion with it. Incidentally, I was also very pleased that the design of these knives closely matches the aesthetics of a couple of Denby knives that I have so that they all look they belong together. The material value is high and in any case these knives are not unduly expensive. Other sets and knives are available from the same manufacturer and so it would be possible to add or replace knives in the future. (Always a good thing). These knives, perhaps with the addition of a bread and pairing knife, would cover most general kitchen tasks. They would make a great gift or just an everyday purchase. There is plenty of competition in this market but these knives are well made and with care could last for years. (For example, I still have a couple of favourites from my twenties that are still sharp and going strong). If these suit your purposes then hopefully, like me, you will not be disappointed.
