These are smaller than what the pic shows. This they seem to work well. Takes roughly 30 minutes to dissolve. These are not rated for winter use. It doesn’t get extremely cold here, but it will get below freezing at night sometimes. To combat this. Take 16 ounces of 91 percent alcohol. This will help it from freezing. Just get a 32 ounce bottle, and put half in a gallon. Also get a bottle of rain X concentrate. Or 4 ounces in the gallon. This is a great winter formula. Put the alcohol, and rain X in first. Then fill will distilled or reverse osmosis water. So with this, it probably cost about $3 per gallon.

I was tired of buying the cheaper Walmart washer fluid (around $3/container). My recipe costs around $0.50 per container now. This has been a great value for me. My recipe per container (mixed a day before use and fully dissolved): -2 tablets (seems to work well in most situations, but still better than Walmart fluid) -1oz Rain-X Washer Fluid Additive (so the wipers don't scream) Cheers!

See the photo. It shows an AAA battery and a Sharpie marker for size comparison. Each dime sized tablet comes wrapped in a not-easy-to-open foil/plastic wrapper. Instructions are not super clear about how much water to use, but they do say clearly that this formula is not suitable for use in freezing weather. That's fine with me because we seldom have freezing weather around here. Other than being a bit of a struggle to open by hand they will turn a quart of water blue with some minor fizzing in about half an hour. There is no noticeable odor. I didn't notice the concoction doing any super effective cleaning of glass, but I haven't tested it under rigorous conditions. If indeed it does work well as windshield washing fluid, it is convenient that you can carry a half dozen tablets in the glove box, drop one or two in your washer fluid tank and top off with a hose or water bottle. In that way it's a lot more convenient than carrying around a sloshy gallon size bottle of fluid.
