This projector has really good features and produces a great display
I'm not a stranger to these projector lights as I bought a different types of galaxy projector light several weeks ago now. It had been intended as a Christmas present but my husband snaffled it as soon as he saw it!So I bought this product as a replacement for the other gift. Now, the first projector (which now lives in our bedroom) has an led 'star' display and a smaller colour changing nebula display, and lots of moving little laser lights (the stars) which have a huge angle on them. That means that when moving around the room it's possible to get a face full of moving laser light. It wasn't really the best for a child, and it didn't possess any of the extra Bluetooth speaker features that this listing does.So by comparison this listing for the Baifmey projector is much more suited for children and teenagers. The little star lights aren't so excessively bright - although I still wouldn't position this directly into a line of vision as they can be dazzling if you stand face on directly into the lights. The projector faces upwards to project onto the ceiling but if placed on a low surface this can still occur. I think they've also used little laser lights in this (like the laser red dot lights you can use as pointers or cat tease toys). The ceiling display with the 'Ocean Waves' ripple effect has a huge area of coverage across a ceiling and can be coupled with the little stars to remain constant, fade, or be switched off (your choice). Also up for choosing, is the colour combination which is in red, green, blue or white effects, or any combination of those. The laser style green dot stars are static but can be set to fade, and can be adjusted for brightness. They are small dots in a random pattern. Then of course there's the speaker that can be either used by Bluetooth coupling to a device, or via a memory card. Not having played with this option too much other than to check I could link it to my phone and listen to it, it seems fine. Unsurprisingly the speaker isn't Bose in sound quality but it's okay, it is clear on sound and quite loud if that's what you want. For the purposes of playing some nice gentle sleep music for my daughter, it's good. I intend to couple it with an echo dot so that I can stream Amazon's sleep music radio station at bedtime. The patterns of the rippling, rolling ocean waves / nebula cloud respond to the music that's played, so it should be nicely relaxing (that's the plan anyway). There are downsides. You can control some of the projectors features (such as the music and brightness) from the base but for full access to the features you need to use the supplied remote control. This is quite a complex remote control for younger children to be fair, so for children, Mum or Dad may want to have control of that (plus they can ensure it doesn't get lost). The remote control is powered by 2x AAA batteries which AREN'T included; that is to say that I didn't find any in my box! Also the unit is powered by a USB cable. If you want to plug this in at the mains you will need a USB plug adaptor. Luckily we have a few of those floating around but that could prove to be a nuisance for some people who don't have one to hand. The USB cable isn't particularly long either, I didn't measure it unfortunately and I've now wrapped the box up. I also seem to recall it was a USB-B micro type which isn't as standard as USB-A.Finally, you need to position this at a location and height where it doesn't dazzle you in the face, and it also needs locating in an area where you can project it out onto the ceiling or wall. There's no way to angle the projector, so you might wish to angle it onto a ceiling using a book or similar. All that said, my overall verdict of this particular galaxy/waves projector is a definite thumbs up. It is very good. I think this is particularly good for children or teenagers who like a bit of bedroom ambience and some music although grown ups would like it too. The fact you can pair it with your phone or other Bluetooth device for a responsive display to music is really good, and the waves and star displays are very effective, encompassing large areas of ceilings and walls (I think it would cover the entire ceiling of all but the largest rooms). The quick video I've uploaded is in daylight so a darkened room display will be spectacular!

Very good!
Gives very nice ambience to the room. Bought for myself and a friend. Mine arrived functional, my friend had to return hers, but still bought the same one, because the lights are just great. Strongly recommend. Speakers aren’t great, but still good to have that option.
