Exactly what WE needed, but our needs were pretty specific.As they say, this is for small dogs. And I’d add small dogs that are not very agile. Our frail senior could have jumped it in her younger days.Now we just needed something to block the stairs, and occasionally a doorway. Having the folding sections was great to adjust to various-sized openings. I can step over it easily, albeit carefully.It stands alone and there’s no installation, which was a huge plus.Very portable. It IS heavier than expected, but easy enough to handle. And it looks a lot better than many similar devices.

This is a great to keep dogs contained. Our dog is 18 years old, deaf, blind but active and explores the house. We have sliding doors to the pool the exact width of the gate. Keeps her safe and because it’s hinged you can open it only 1/3 to get through. This is very cute, very well made.

My 20-yr-old, 8 lb, deaf, blind, mini-chihuahua (depending on direction of gate 'wings') could either push out or push the gate until it fell over on her. If I (83, arthritic widow) could see the problem, and with the suggestion of my daughter (academic, age 52), could figure out the problem and solution, I don't understand how a highly-paid Quality Control Engineer could not. I used four medium-sized door stops and cut slots with an exacto knife to give the gate the stability it needed. I'd gladly take a share of the Engineer's salary for the idea.

I love the fact that this keeps my 105lb dog off the stairs. This actually does what it's supposed to do.

Don’t waist your money on this! Unless your dog doesn’t touch the gate, it won’t stay up, it’s heavy so every time it falls (and it will fall) it’s so loud, it won’t solve your problem, it will make you frustrated instead. Low quality, cheep made, it came damaged, so frustrating!Another problem is, I bought two gates by accident so I returned both of them because I didn’t like them. And I just got my refund: $5. FIVE DOLLARS! I didn’t even usem them! One was still in the box I didn’t open it. I payed $59.99 EACH! I’m just so frustrated I feel like I was robbed. So if you buy this gate, make sure you’re keeping it, otherwise forget about your money.

There is nothing too fancy or particular to say about this item. It is three boards with a design held together by hinges. It arrived intact and works great. The gray color looks very nice. Simple to grab and relocate. Sits flat, so it was built correctly.
