The reviews caused me trepidation because so many reviewers said the zippers on the pockets were catastrophic failures. I also wasn't sure about sizing, but some reviewers included their height and weight and results of sizing, so I ordered a medium. First thing that I checked were the pocket zippers, since the whole reason I needed new breeches was for a pocket for my cell phone. They are smooth and open and close very easily, several times already. My iPhone BARELY fits in the medium pocket, though, so anything larger WILL NOT fit. Pockets are nice and deep, just not very wide. And the fit is perfect. I am about 5'7", 135-140. These breeches are like wearing pure lycra with a wide, elastic waistband. Very comfortable. Yes, they are "slick" and only the knee patches will help with any grip, but I'm wearing these under parade chaps, so the extremely light weight and feel and comfort are great for that. The medium size could accommodate a little more height (my legs are pretty long) and probably another 10 lbs. in weight, but that's all. I'm slim already, and these do not emphasize anything lumpy or bumpy for me. Quite flattering, although I wouldn't wear them to the grocery store. I guess they are a bit like yoga pants, only with pockets and knee patches, and long to the ankles as they should be. For the price, I think they are an excellent buy. Now, I just got them today so don't know how they will hold up in the wash, but I will probably wash in a net bag on gentle and hang to dry. I would probably buy them again, and I'll try to update in a couple weeks after I've ridden in a couple of parades and washed them.

I'm 5' 3", pear shaped (41" hips, 32.5" waist) normal size 8 /Medium. I ordered a size medium and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality, thickness and length. I bought two other inexpensive popular brands from Amazon that were super thin (showed every lump and bump) and way to long. However, with this pair I FINALLY found a fit that I was satisfied with. They still aren't as thick and compression like as my favorite workout leggings but they are close enough. I love the zip up side pocket which fits my large phone. I put my phone and treats in there while riding. They are stretchy and comfortable too. I highly recommend these.

I ride 19 to 20 miles daily on several different horses. I need comfortable, well made riding pants that work 8n and out of the saddle. These look nice on and are very soft. The material is cool enough even in 100 degree weather. The knee patches are actually grippy without being bulky.My one complaint is the zippered pockets. The zippers are very rough and the pockets are small. My phone barely fits and only with the pocket unzipped.

My daughter bought these breeches for herself, and I couldn't believe how good she looked in them. I hate the way breeches look on most people. She told me she bought a larger size so they wouldn't cling to her. I am between sizes, so I ordered a size up. They are super long, which I don't mind because I can tuck them in my boot without them coming out and pull them up to my crouch without feeling like I am overstretching them while riding. They are HIGH waisted which is fine with me. The pockets are deep and have a zipper which secures valuables, like a phone, keys, or money. The belt loops come in handy in case you want to attach something to them. I can't imagine wearing a belt because there is no need to. I wore them all summer long and felt comfortable in them. The weather is cooler now and they still feel comfortable. I have enough room to put thermals under them for the winter. I have been machine washing and drying them, and they come out looking like the day I got them. (My daughter said I am not supposed to do that.) I don't know if everyone would like these because they are "big." I am 5'4" and usually take a L/XL, so I ordered XL. I had a concern with them because the outside seam appeared to be coming apart. I've had them a few months now and they are still like the day I bought them. My daughter bought them in brown, while I bought blue and black. The colors are nice. I love them.

I’m 5’4 and about 155. I ordered the medium and they are just fine. I little long but the high waist helps. I rode with them this week and love the grip on the legs. My phone fit fine in the pocket even with the big otter box I use. I bought brown and little color. I prefer the darker as it helps disguise my cottage cheese legs at 60:yrs old.

My granddaughter is a English horse rider and those breeches are perfect for the hot weather
