We have four children age 6 to 11 and I wanted to get him something that had quick access but safe from the kids. He programmed his fingerprint and then tested it out on the kids. THREE OUT OF OUR FOUR CHILDREN COULD OPEN THE SAFE with their fingerprints. I alerted the company of this problem. They said this problem is uncommon and would send me a replacement safe if I sent the faulty one back. We got the replacement yesterday and it has the exact same problem. My 6 year old twins can open it with all of their fingers. This safe is NOT SAFE for your children! Please watch the video.

Product was defective from the moment we opened the box on Christmas. Biometric scanner simply did not work. When I requested a replacement the best I was offered was simply a refund. Not exactly a great deal. Opted not to hassle with returning it and took it apart to fix it myself. After a few minutes of disassembly the issue became clear. Appears that the manufacturer employs small and unskilled children to solder all of the wiring. If an adult did this work they should be ashamed. Very poor quality workmanship once I saw the insides. Two wires were simply not connected in any fashion. Obviously zero quality control practiced during or after production. I was able to fix the issues and it appears to work reasonably well now. I gave this product a two star rating because the actual box itself is a fairly solid lockbox even without the biometric scanner. That being said I would pass on this product as it is simply not reliable quality.

The unit itself fits nicely to the left of my sink for meds... the unit is very solidly built and was relatively easy to mount on the wall...but the point of the unit was a fingerprint lock instead of a key that I have to carry, find or lose. This is where the unit fails. I have programmed multiple finger/thumb...prints and multiple times... it has successfully opened for me maybe 3 times out of 100 tries... so I just leave it open... which kind of defeats the purpose.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas, he is not happy with it at all. Most of the time it takes him up to 5 times to get it open, it does not recognize his finger print, he has redone the finger print a couple of times but it still takes multiple times to open it. It does lock, so that is why I am giving it a 2.

fingerprint does not work correctly, anyone can open it. fingerprint scan is not accurate.

Finally got around to installing this drawer safe only to discover that it rarely discovers my fingerprints. I've tried to enroll my prints and my wife's. One time in 10 it will record a print but will not allow access into the safe. Yes, I've read the instructions and followed them to the letter. No, it simply does not work. Perhaps this is my own fault for trying to safe few bucks and getting a refurb. Very disappointed!

Better instructions I had to figure out exactly what you meant by so many finger scans once I figured it out it works great

Nice safe but doesn’t lock anyone out. Works with any fingerprint. Saw a guy with a video say the same thing but thought maybe I would get one that works. I assume they are all faulty.
