Works for the laptop, not for media player
UPDATE: 3/29/25 : I bought this cable to use with my media player but it didn't work. It worked for my laptop 3 times, then I put it away for 3 months. I tried it today and it worked for 5 minutes and now it stopped working; dead. So 1 star. 1/3/25: I wanted this cable to connect my external Seagate 3 tb drives to my media player but it didn't work. The media player didn't see the drives. So I connected to my laptop and it was able to see the drives, then I used the HDMI cable to connect to the TV and play my movies. There must be a wire missing in the cable that the media player needs so 2 stars off for the missing functionality.
