Very surprised because it can be super sheer or super opaque. And I don't know if it's just the people that want to see my art aren't artistic on any way or if they just don't care to even google it but sheer is see through and opaque is NOT see through, can't explain that enough apparently. And I had one artist get into a verbal fight with me because they didn't even want to look up the definition of opaque. Anyway I'm getting off subject. Easy to clean I just kept a damp cloth and brushed the water pens until they ran clear then moved to another color the bristles are stained but with the damp cloth trick there was never any overlapping color issues. Came with everything described. I wish it wasn't so expensive because the watercolor cubes are so small but I get it because it is really good quality. I wish there was like an extra block or two of the white because I ran out of that first. It just worked so well I have never used an opaque white water color. I was impressed.

I was so surprised to see the way this whole kit came. It had these extra goodies, paper, brushes and the watercolors work so well. Had such a wonderful time trying them out last night. I Highly recommend them to any one wanting to get started with a nice set of paints. Something for beginners, intermediate painter, and they are very good quality. I am so glad I made this purchase, they are wonderful watercolors.

Love love this set. It is beautiful. Colors are vibrant. I use it all the time. I think I've had this almost a year. It still has a lot of paint left. I've painted so much with this set. It's my favorite. I have experience watercolor sets too. I always go to this set. Value. Great for beginners. Great for anyone.Note: Always spray your watercolor with water. It brings out the pigment in the color. More vibrant.This set is amazing. I will have another set from this company.

These are great! It’s my first watercolor set, other than the cheap crayola ones you use in kindergarten. These are super pigmented. I am particularly impressed with the black. It was completely opaque and even in one coat. The fluorescent ones take quite a few layers to get much pigment. I love the metallic ones. The multicolor ones are basically a white sheen that reflects whatever color at a certain angle. The metallic metal colors were particularly pigmented. The colors have a tendency to fall out of the pans if you’re not careful, but it’s pretty obvious which side is up. It comes with a 3B pencil for sketching. I don’t know why they went with such a soft pencil, you would think they want a harder one that isn’t as visible through the lighter paint colors, but they may have a reason. The water brush pens are amazing. They were perfect for swatching so I didn’t have to get up and go wash my brush every time I switched colors, just squeeze and wipe with a paper towel. The other brushes that came with the kit were kinda meh. The tips were already a bit frayed. Overall, very happy, only a few very minor issues.

My 15-year-old daughter got this set and is very happy with it. This is the first time she’s done a water color painting. She used this set and was very pleased to paint the horse. The paint brush worked really well and it was nice that you added water to the brush, instead of having to dip it in a cupEdit : this is the daughter i have my dads phone mwahahahha the colors are so so pigmented and they seem to be endless! they look like small little amounts but they are powerful and strong. they do not even cover heavy black lineart. goes amazing with any other media such as acrylic and marker and doesn’t mess up the paper. this is the best watercolor set in the whole world and if you don’t have this, buy it. YOU WILL CRY TEARS OF JOY IT IS SO AMAZING AND PERFECT

I love this!! The things on the lid I cut and tapped to the thing otherwise it's on a separate paper. The colors are good consistency is good some of the metallic makes a sorta frothy mix. Still paints good just seems to use more of the color. I would definitely recommend for an artist friend!!
