**Q: Does putting this on my lens eliminates the need of a lens hood in blocking unwanted light?**
A: No.  I normally shoot outdoors with a skylight filter (which I keep on at all times to protect my lens) and use the polarizing filter in highly light reflective situations ( e.g. Window, mirror, water, bright metal, etc.). The lens hood further reduces the flare.

**Q: Can i used it for nikon lens(10-24,f/3.5-4.5 and 70-200 ,f/2.8 and 85, f/1.4) ?**
A: Don't know about the first two, but the 85mm 1.4 requires a 77mm filter.

**Q: will it fit a sigma 70-300 mm f/4-5.6 macro telephoto zoom lens?**
A: If the lens takes a 52mm filter it will fit.

**Q: Would this fit an af nikkor 28-85 mm wide angle lense i just bought?**
A: According to NIKON website, the 28-85 wide angle lens has a filter attachment size of 62mm.  You would need to find a filter with that same size (62mm) to be compatible with your lens.
