In all my years baking with silicone mats, I have never experienced this. I used these gently for maybe a couple of weeks and cared for them as normal. Then I had a pan with a mat positioned on the rack below a lasagne that was likely to drip. No excessive heat was used or weird ingredients (ha!)- I've done this countless times. The pan did leak and dripped into the pan as anticipated. I thought I was seeing the liquid from the dish but no, it was the coating of the mat, melted and peeled back. I am floored. These mats are scary. Trust me and look elsewhere- you don't want to eat anything cooked on these.

After seeing so many silicon-based mats advertised online & in stores, I decided to try these out — best decision ever! I use them alone for toasting and reheating, or for baking, roasting, air oven frying, pizza, etc. They are especially helpful in non-dishwasher safe baking pans. I have used in lieu of parchment paper and tin foil-lined pans in both my convection oven and my air oven up to 450°F with no integrity issues. While they are extremely easy to clean and dishwasher safe, it a bit more difficult to remove grease & oils from surface. Eventually, I stopped trying to remove oily residues after ensuring mats were thoroughly cleaned as it saves me from having to grease for next cooking use. Am ordering a second set so I will be able to cover larger pan surfaces.

I have found the 3 smaller sizes to be great lids for Pyrex casserole dishes!! Pyrex dishes only come with plastic lids for storage, but baking in them is mainly what they are for. Hence there are NO lids for in the oven...I would love these mats to come in a package of smaller sized pieces to use as lids.I have not used for cookie sheet lining & am afraid to cut them into smaller sizes. (Someone said they have fiberglass inside them....)They are fast, easy & very effective to cover dishes while baking or reheating food. I use them mostly in my countertop convection oven & really love them!!

These pleasantly surprised me on the quality of material and various sizes in the bunch. Much better quality than the silicone ones I bought from the fair. I would totally recommend these!
