I’m a City firefighter in a busy area both call volume and fire wise. I use this system for keys to elevators and buildings in my area. They deploy and retract every time and I’ve yet to have an issue. No real damage to it despite being in some nasty conditions. I don’t know if it’s really temperature rated but I’ve been real hot a few times and these have yet to melt or discolor. It’s been 4 years and still works great.

I’ve used this item for years and I always come “BAK.”. As someone who locks and unlocks a bicycle several dozens of times a day, the Key-bak system is essential for quick, safe and reliable easy access to a key, set of keys or whatever lightweight item attached to it. They last pretty long but are not fail proof. Mine usually meet their untimely end when the key gets caught in my car seat adjustment handle and I make a quick exit from my car seat without realizing it’s attacked and I walk away until the key-bak wire snaps. Other than that, which happens to be a fluke that I’m responsible for, the key-bak is my “can’t live without it” product that I highly recommend.

As a retail customer service manager, I use my keys a minimum of 20 times a day, usually more. I had them on a carabiner clip provided by my work, but the spring wasn't functioning after just a few weeks. I also realized that the belt loops on a couple of my pants were shredding from the constant clipping and unclipping of keys. One of my coworkers has a retractable key clip so I decided to look for one and came across this. Since I carry other items and not just keys, I wanted a heavy duty clip. I compared several models before choosing this one. I knew I wanted a carabiner style clip and something sturdy. I am very happy with my purchase now that I've been using it for a few days. I wonder why I waited so long to try a retractable key holder.I carry about 8 keys, a small hand sanitizer, a mini box cutter, a lip balm holder, and nail clippers on my key ring. I probably could have even gotten the next smaller size. The 15 oz one I got feels very sturdy. I did change the belt clip for a heavy duty carabiner since several reviews mentioned the clip it comes with broke easily. It's much heavier than I'm used to, but that means it should last much longer. The keys also hang down farther, but that doesn't bother me too much since I'm almost 6 feet tall. For some people it could be annoying. I'm very happy with the retractable cord so far, it's very strong and plenty long enough for me. A couple of my coworkers have asked me where I got it.I definitely recommend this product if you carry keys with you all day as I do. I would suggest weighing whatever you keep on your key ring so you don't get a heavier key holder than what you need, because they are fairly heavy and therefore more durable than a carabiner clip or swivel hook.EDIT: I have been using this now for over a year and a half. One side of the part where the cloth loop attaches to the body of the clip cracked last week, but I superglued it and it's holding up so far. If it does end up breaking I will definitely get another, it's well worth the cost.UPDATE: I have been using this for almost exactly 19 months now and the retractable cord broke off. I am ordering the same one again, it's worth it to me.

I have hooked to my backpack so I can easily reach my keys. I have about 20 keys on there and it works great.

It worked great until it didn't. Two and a half years and the plastic piece attached to the cord broke off when using it. The cord retracted into the cord housing but the spring loaded retraction mechanism broke as well.It worked well but know there's an expiration date and it will break.

I've had a few co-workers ask where I got it from. Been using it for 2 years now and tether is still holding strong. Will buy again in future.

je viens d'un racheter un faute d'avoir trouvé mieux - càd plus solide, plus léger (je ne veux pas de truc avec un câble métallique) et plus résistant.Le précédent a tenu 4 ans d'usage quotidien. C'est l’extrémité du câble qui a cassé côté anneau.Je perds tout, donc j'y accroche mon portefeuille-porte cartes.Bref, il sert tous les jours....

I'm using this all day with a number of keys attached. I used to have the lighter weight one which served me well for a few years of constant use (still works but a bit sticky). This one is almost a beast but tamed. Works well, build quality is good and although it's tough, it's not heavier than it needs to be. I'll keep coming back to KEY-BAK, in fact I bought a spare just in case I can't get one in the furure.

Al principio me habia acostumbrado a estos 'yoyos' retractiles pero siempre eran de una calidad inferior y solo me duraban algunos meses, dado el uso relativamente intenso que les doy.Este producto me sorprendió dado que ademas de que sus materiales y construcción son super solidos y de calidad, el cable es largo y alcanza todos los lugares sin tener que quitarme mi porta-gafette, ademas de que no es demasiado duro ni muy flojo al momento de tirarlo, desde luego es para uso rudo asi que se debe tener eso en cuenta, en resumen me encantó! gracias!
