This is my 3rd French Press. I started out using Keurig. Very expensive those K pods. Anyway it broke a couple of years later. $200 down the drain So I went to French Press.Then my last French press just fell apart the other day in the middle of coffee making.I decided to fork out another $100 plus bucks for another Keurig. But, as I always do, I look at everything and read all reviews. People, it takes me days to order anything. But usually the reviews lead me in the right direction. I listen!So, all of a sudden, here is this cute French press from a small company named Purana Vida.! I liked everything about their promo! Everything!! You can tell these are great People! You can feel it!The French Press is beautiful! The cups that my new best friends offer with the press as a gift..... are so classy and match the press perfectly!I ordered! I am so happy!!! And...... I learned I was making my coffee the wrong way all these years! And.... I got a recipe book with so many recipes that I may never make them all!And..... the price for all this coffee magic is just amazing!I suggest buying this product right now! You will not regret it! Plus if anything goes wrong, it will be replaced or refunded. How can you fail?Thank you so much Purana Vida for this little gem of a pot and the cups.I am so satisfied!! 😁Oh.... And the coffee tastes wonderful!!!

I had many coffee presses over the years as I keep breaking them.This set looks nicer than most others and the quality of the glass is good. Extra nets are also included. That the glasses/pot are not fixed to the holders makes this item easy to clean.It filters smaller particles than other presses I owned.I let the coffee steep for about 30 seconds. The manual of this item suggests a steeping time of 3-5 minutes which seems oddly long.The taste of the first pots I cooked is subpar. The coffee is thin and bitter. However, I suspect that not many people buy Lavazzo in the rural area I'm in at the moment and that the coffee is just old. If I don't update this review, the problem was the coffee brand

The press works great, easy to use and sturdy. I did not need the two extra cups, but they came with the press and turned out nice as well. The press filter everything well and the mesh is easy to clean. I hand wash it only though

Honestly, this is a great product at a great price. I switched to French Press coffee several years ago after an expensive coffee maker died and I couldn’t afford to replace it. I stayed with French Press because it tasted better- never went back. But not all French Press systems are created equal and the screen and plunging mechanism on many can be problematic. I bought this one to replace one I had been using for about a year because the plunger piece was falling apart.This one? The double screen filters well and you aren’t left with a lot of sludge at the bottom of the cup.It’s also easy to take apart and clean and very sturdy.The carafe is attractive and coffee simply tastes better out of glass. The matching cups are really pretty.This is also a nice large size, easily makes 4 mugs of coffee, so great for two people or if you have guests.

My experience as a REAL first time coffee maker:I went from either using a Keurig or buying my coffee at Dunkin' Donuts or Starbucks every morning, but I finally decided it was time to really learn how to make coffee.I decided to pick up this French Press on Amazon Prime Day and I am extremely pleased. This thing is the real deal. Fancy too!It took me a few times to learn how to use it, but on my 3rd time, I made a perfect cup of coffee. I used Dunkin' Donuts Medium Roast - Original Blend coffee grounds.Just a few tips:1. The manual suggests heating the water that you will use to make your coffee to 195-205 degrees Fahrenheit. My suggestion is to get as close to 205 degrees as possible, but NOT over 205. If you use water over 205 degrees Fahrenheit, the water will "over-extract" the caffeine. In other words, you are technically burning off the caffeine and your coffee will not wake you up. (I learned this through experience) It may help to use a digital thermometer to gauge your water temperature.2. This Press is made out of glass, so make sure you handle it with extreme care between cleaning and storing.So happy I got this deal. Thank you!

While the set looks slick, I am glad to have bought it on sale. First of all, the glass for the French press and glasses is extremely thin. Even tough the glass part can be removed for ease of cleaning, this means there is always a time that it is not in the protective shell. So, if you have a habit of dropping things, like me, use extra caution or get a different product with sturdier glassware. Secondly, the inner press part is easy to take a part and clean, but maybe too easy. The nut securing the lid constantly needs tightening and can make a pour go all over the place if it is not tightened all the way. Overall, the product is alright for a $15 investment, but I would not purchase it again if it were any higher.

Perfect. Flawless. Really.The only thing to watch out for: the instructions say to use a wooden instrument to stir the beans in the carafe. Cool. Did that. The cups it comes with made from the same type of glass but thinner?Treat them like an urn filled with the remains of your parent, because one small tap is enough to shatter it into the most brilliant glass explosion you've ever seen.I'm not joking. I've broken things before, and never have I seen glass break so spectacularly, or end up so spread out.Still. 5 stars. Just don't be me.
