I need to make 3/4" holes with my plunge router that uses this size template. Can I use the 5/8" (or 1") template guide for the 3/4" bit?

Be sure to tighten the nut and I don't mean hand tighten, learnt the hard way when using it for the first time, nut came loose cut a chunk out of the collet and destroyed a new bit I had just bought.
