I’m not new to protein powders and have been trying dozens of them since 2001. Smart 138 has produced an incredibly high-quality casein protein and other types from their catalogue of options. I wasn’t ever able to connect the reasons why protein powder companies and Nestle couldn’t ever join up? So I mix unflavored casein with a spoonful of Nutella and I’m straight. Best chocolate shake on this planet (to me). The Casein digests over approximately an 8-hour period which isn’t just useful at night, but during the day. For those individuals that “go”, this protein is a great tool to use. My low blood sugar bouts have ceased and overall energy and vigor have been greatly improved due to this protein. Within my first bag, I’ve already added a few pounds back onto my frame which I am grateful to have back. This casein protein is an automatic easy choice now that I’ve tried it out. I will never go back to whey protein because of it’s uber quick digestion (good in some cases). I feel the true benefit of trickle feeding muscles with a slower digesting casein protein such as this. Grass fed and no fillers, you’d have to be out of your mind not to at least try this stuff out. Texture is highly blendable, even with just a shaker. Sure, one has to shake it well, but once you get there it’s a lot smoother than much of the competition. There isn’t that hardcore 10/10 grainy taste. This one is much smoother and I appreciate that. Took about a week to acclimate to, but now I don’t even notice. For those getting into working out and trying protein powders, if you invest here on Smart 138’s protein, you’re surely going to achieve positive results. Best of luck to you all.

As a raw casein protein powder it is no doubt a very good, quality product. It is just not very palatable.If you can manage to drink it with water, milk, almond milk, whatever then it's as advertised protein supplement. However, beyond that you've got to add flavoring, sweetner, fruit, yogurt...something to make it taste decent. And even at that it remains quite chalky and gritty. You may as well buy something that is already flavored that is far easier to consume - unless, again, you don't care about taste.

The product is excellent. It is truly unflavored, so it will taste like anything you mix it with. No chalky aftertaste whatsoever. I gave 4 stars because the product is in a resealable bag which broke the first time I opened it. So now I have a 2lb bag of protein that cannot be sealed. There’s gotta be a better way to deliver this product to ensure freshness.

Sorry but this is the worst protein that I have ever tasted and that says a lot. Even when I add some peanut butter it still tasts like crap......

I'm an incredibly picky guy with limited time and don't typically review products. This one however is worthy and rates high given my search for pure flavorless protein with the perfect amino acid profile to aid my muscle recovery. I love mixing in my fruit and veggies myself to add flavor and additional micro nutrients. Most importantly, this product will be added to my arsenal that will help me preserve and rebuild muscle and achieve making my fifth full distance ironman my fastest at sub 12 hours.

Love it seems like a quality product and a package that actually reseals well

When I first opened it I was stunned by the overpowering nail polish smell! It was intense. I convinced myself that it was probably just the inner lining of the bag because once I put half a scoop in my bullet cup it didn't smell at all. Thinking that I'd be OK.. I continued to add my other ingredients and made my smoothie. Well, less then an hour lately I was in the bathroom having issues! <No fun>I have to agree with other commentators that the powder doesn't blend well <used a Ninja> and the bag is NOT resealable! I tried everything to "clean" out the ridges so there was less powder into between them however that didn't work either. So all in all, this product was not worth the daily hassle. I'm glad that others had success however I immediately returned it! Am thankful that I could do that at least ;)***I gave this two stars because I felt like maybe I just got a "bad" patch and overall the product seems like it would be good. I also have no negative feelings regarding my experience with AMZ or SMART138. There is room for a more functional product design!!

I have to say this is the best casein protein powder i EVERRRRR tasted. I mix 2 scoops it with soy milk and quick chocolate mix, blend it and drink it before going to sleep after an intense workout. I will keep buying it love the flavor mixes so easily and i Have zero stomach problems. Try it for yourselves for one time and you will want to order more.
