I have a young dog that loses control of his bladder when he's excited so I got this to clean up after him regularly whilst he's trained.I replaced a standard sponge type mop with this and the difference is like night and day. The old one warped my floor slightly because of leaving too much moisture on the boards. This one wrings out so well that there's barely any liquid left after, the handle makes it easy to wring out too.The sponge itself is soft but seems to be harder wearing than I expected. Around two weeks of daily use and its still like new.The only complaint I have is the packaging is stupidly designed and highlights another flaw. To remove the plastic packaging you have to remove the sponge head from the mop, which is held on by a plastic sliding mechanism. If you don't realise this it's extremely easy to break, I nearly did myself and from what I read, other reviewers have had the same issue. It also isn't immediately obvious which way it slides out because it doesn't move immediately when pushed either.

I have been using this type of mop for a few years. They are excellent at washing and then pick up a lot of the water when running over the area with the mop head squeezed dry. I have found it to the best mop I've ever used. I would have given it five stars apart from two problems.1) The spongy pad can peel away from the plastic holding it quite easily, usually one end at a time. I now let the mop dry out, give the plastic part a wipe over and then use a strong waterproof adhesive to stick the two parts together.2) This mop has changed, only subtly and you can't tell the difference from a cursory glance, however the latest refills only fit the newer version. This is why I have to buy new entire mops rather than just the refills which is a pain as I had three mops for different the different products I used for my stone floor, wooden floors, and porcelain tile floors.

In some regards the mop is good, but there are several design flaws. The changeable mop head often fails to remain affixed to the mop and can occasionally come off during use. Ironically it can also be difficult to remove and replace.The mechanism is good in that the lever enables one to mop up and squeeze out water easily. However, again there is a flaw in the design in that the mop is not robust. The first mop gave up after the mechanism became twisted and broke. In two subsequent purchases the pins holding the jointed sections together have become loose and slide out resulting in the mop coming apart.I like this type of mop, but will be looking for another brand when replacing. Would have expected better construction for the price.

Great mop, uses very little water so floors dry really quickly, super handy!Only issue is when I squeeze the mop out it sometimes comes away from the frame on one side. Easily slid back into place but difficult if it’s just been in boiling hot water!!

Washes floors very well without leaving excess water. Feels strong and sturdy - like it will last a long time. Pull up handle to wring out. Only concern is that it has slightly odd shape where handle juts out making it knock against walls or underside of furniture if you try to use it wrong way round. Preferred my old mop that was straight - all-in-line design. Hence only 4 stars.
