Locksport: A Hackers Guide to Lockpicking, Impressioning, and Safe Cracking

I generally look for several things in a technical book. 1. whether it has the highest quality illustrations; color and extremely visible. 2. If it has a great index. If a book is not indexed, it’s a sup-par book at the best.I am a beginner. I’ve tried on my own with various lock pic tool and even a see through pad lock. The see through lock was very unsophisticated in that even I could pic it almost without trying. I lost interest in the idea of lock picking till I saw the book. The verdict is out until I do more reading, but I’m extremely optimistic.I’m a handyman and I see this “sport” as very practical, as I’ve had customers that couldn’t get into their houses.I intend to update this review when I’ve learned a thing or two.

An absolute must for anyone in Locksport and written by some of the biggies in the locksport community. Covers all the main topics.

I am new to locksport and was excited to find a concise, accurate guide from professionals. I disliked having to search the internet for what's true information and what's made-up nonsense. This book breaks everything down simply and includes awesome color pictures. It's a must-read for newbies looking to get into locksport. For the love of God, please keep making books on the topic of lockpicking! This book helped me start a lockpicking YouTube channel. I've been in the lock picking world for more than two decades and there are still things that I learned from reading this book! The title matches the content, as well, which I love. It's called "Locksport" and all of the content is very specifically framed around competitive locksport; how to learn and practice certain locksport techniques on certain locks, how to prepare for competitions and how to make the most of attending locksport competitions. I have taken away many gems from this book that I've added into my toolbox. A fantastic book that I waited a long time for! I very much recommend this book to anyone interested in any type of lock defeat disciplines.
