IR Infrared Remote Control Extender Repeater Cable (10 Feet) - IR Signal Receiver & IR Emitter Blaster Extension Cable Wire Cord USB Powered System Kit - Black

This IR remote extender works great for my TV. We used to have to hold our TV remote above our heads (when we were sitting on the couch) to be able to clear the the soundbar that partially blocks the IR sensor on the TV. I installed the IR receiver just below the top edge of the TV stand and mounted the IR extenders transmitter to the backside of the soundbar in front of the TV sensor. The TV had an unused USB port that now powers the IR extender perfectly. Some of the other reviews complain of the IR extenders visible red LED... I don't find the LED distracting because we still have LED's on some of our other TV's and I guess I am just used to them now. This is an easy 5-Stars for making my remote work like normal again!

Simple install, plug in the USB to the TV for power, stick the larger end on top of (or anywhere near) your TV and the little end by the device you want to control. Works well and doesn't need to be super close to the device you want to control. Great value, great product.

I was a fan of Logitech Harmony but when they were discontinued and mine failed I had to get another. The RC I have now is good except its infrared signal is weak, and my audio system did not see the signals. This was a simple solution, face the receiving sensor towards my chair, hang the emitting sensor in front of my Yamaha receiver. Works great now.

What can I say? Total fail for me. I left out laying around long enough and tried again. Make sure that the USB port on your receiver, display, or whatever is always powered. Mine appears to only be powered when selected as a source. A separate wall wart in the cabinet and it's all good. So much for thinking I know what I'm doing.

I purchased this remote control extender to control a dvr that is inside a cabinet with glass doors. The product works ok up to 6 ft away from the sensor but does not work for me beyond 6 feet. I need it to work 12 feet away from the sensor. This is a waste of money for my application.

Using this IR repeater, I was able to hide my cable box behind the TV. I simply adhered the receptor (IR receiver) end to the underside of the TV, the other end (IR repeater output) adhered to the cable box where the IR sensor is located, and then plugged the third end into a USB port on back of TV for power. Although the cable box comes with a bluetooth remote, I need to use my universal IR remote to control TV, stereo and cable box. This simple IR repeater does the trick when you don't have line-of-sight to the target IR device.

Overall, the device works as advertised. The adhesive to attach the transmitter over the IR sensor is poor quality and it fell off after 1 week. Easily fixed but still a quality stain that would cost very little to improve.

Just wow! I like another reviewer, have a sound bar that gets in the way. Installed this on my bedroom TV. Now I can point the remote anywhere (in other words no need to point it at all) and it works!! What a great unit!

Very impressed with this. Tested, working between 0-20ft range with multiple input angles. Can be a bit awkward to set up with the USB power requirement but not a big deal. Adhesives also seem like they could be better on inspection but they’re holding so can’t really complain. Will update in the future if it fails, otherwise solid purchase!
