Great mat
Love it and so does my cat. Great for catching liter, the size works well for my area. Quality of the material seems durable but time will tell on that. Easy to clean. Would buy again.

Well-made and catches a lot of litter.
Great product. It seems durable and well-made, it catches a lot of litter, and it looks relatively nice too. I love that it’s big enough the catch litter on all sides of the litter box.

works fine but strong chemical odor lasts a long, long time
I bought this mat about a week after I got the cat. At the time I was using a clay-based litter that came with the cat. I've since switched to pellets made from paper, and those are nowhere near as much of a tracking problem as the clay litter. I didn't use the mat at all until recently though. It smelled terrible when it first arrived. I washed the mat several times since I got it (with dish soap). I've left it sitting outside and in my garage. I guess it's been about three months since I received it. It took over a month to where I stopped being able to smell it just from walking by while it was on the floor in the garage (and that includes several washings and outdoor airings during that period), but it still had a strong smell if I put my nose near it. Now I have to put my nose right up to the mat to be able to smell it and it doesn't really bother me. Maybe I'm just sensitive to the chemical odor, even though I don't have a particularly good sense of smell (my girlfriend would be more than happy to confirm this). This chemical odor is not something unique to this mat. I've seen similar mats at pet stores and they stink too. Functionally, the mat works fine: it's nice and large, it's very soft/spongy feeling (and the cat seems to like kneading it), and litter stays put better than if there's no mat. It's nice to have, but I feel like I don't really need it so much with the paper litter. The paper does tend to disintegrate when it gets too "used" and can travel, but that's mostly contained by using a smaller litter tray, a smaller amount of litter, and changing it out more often. Still, the mat does a good job of containing the particles.

Great quality mat for 2 years so far!
This cat mat was perfect for my earlier needs: small enough to fit in a cramped laundry room or bathroom, and a great first line of defense against the litter my cat inevitably tracks out after doing her business. It works really well. You can actually see the litter collecting at the front of the litter box entrance instead of spreading dust everywhere like before. Cleaning it can be a bit annoying, especially if your cat has an accident on it (happened once, and paper towels did not survive the cleanup thanks to the mat’s texture). To clean I typically vacuum weekly or more and shake it out every month. What you might want to know before buying, especially if you're a first-time cat owner: 1. Litter type matters: The amount of tracking depends heavily on the litter brand and type. If you’re using wood pellets (though some debate their safety for cats, do your research and talk to a vet!), tracking and dust will be minimal, and this mat would likely catch 100% of what’s left. For finer, more granular litter (which I use), I’d estimate this mat catches 75–90% of what gets tracked out. That’s a win in my book - the less litter I find scattered around, the better. 2. Consider your litter box, your space, and your cat’s behavior: This mat worked great when I had a smaller space. Now that I’m in a larger laundry room, I’m thinking of upgrading to a bigger mat. Cats have weird personalities and big opinions at times, and not all love the texture of litter mats. Some will run, leap over it, or try to avoid it altogether. Thankfully, my cat tolerates it, but in the bigger space, she’s stepping off the mat sooner - which means more litter ends up on the floor. If you’ve got a particularly messy cat, a top-entry litter box might help reduce tracking. I’ve seen this work well for friends. Just make sure the mat is big enough and well-positioned so your cat has to step on it when exiting.

Perfect for cats moms
Perfect! Keeps litter sand in a contained area after my cat uses the litter box and easy to shake back to litter box.

Moderately effective at preventing cat litter trailing everywhere
It does an OK job of catching a lot of the litter, but still, a lot gets past it. Also, I shake it gently every time I clean the cat litter, and it developed a tear after just a few uses. I have managed to keep the tear from worsening, and I am still using it, but I was disappointed that it would tear so easily. Overall, it is OK. It helps prevent our cats from tracking litter all over the house, but it is definitely not a panacea!

Excellent cat mats
I’ve been very pleased with the gorilla grip cat mats. I’m not seeing loose litter around the cat mats anymore and it will be easy to roll them up and shake out any loose litter into my basement trash container that may collect on the mat itself over time. My cat accepted the mats quickly and she’s fairly particular about changes like that. The price was very reasonable and I couldn’t be more pleased with the mats.

Works great!
I’m impressed! I have a top-entrance Iris litter box in my bedroom and although it catches a decent amount of litter, my cat was still tracking clay bits all over my floor, and I was sweeping it up twice a day. Since I got this Gorilla Grip mat, I need to sweep maybe once a week - it catches about 90% of the litter that used to end up on the floor, bouncing everywhere.

So far so good
Took a while for the folds to flatten out, but after they did it seems to be doing the job better than my old mat.

No more litter trails!!
The mat stays in place even when my cats decide to use it as a scratching option 🤦♀️ (Luckily it doesn’t shred this mat 👍) The mat catches all the litter off their paws and it’s quick to vacuum (I use my cordless stick vacuum). I can’t comment on the absorbency yet as my cats haven’t missed the litter box lately. However, I did take the ease of being able to take it outside and soap and hose it off into consideration when I purchased it. I’m sure I’ll have to do this at some point if their litter box isn’t up to their high standards of cleanliness lol. (They are a brother and sister team of rescued, once feral babies and share well but they do have their limits when it comes to their litter box of course.) Would I recommend? Absolutely!!
