WHEEL OF TIME 8: THE PATH OF DAGGERS (REISSUE): Book 8 of the Wheel of Time (Now a major TV series)

People count it as part of the Slog, but I tell you this Book felt to me of a Superior Quality than even Book 7 which was really fun for Mat story.I deeply enjoyed Perrin's part in the beginning, The Bowl of the Winds part by Supergirls, and Final Battle of Rand with Seanchan. I think it was a Quality Work of the series.Even if the pace slowed, for me it became more engrossing. Especially, Egwene story fills you up with an admiration for the Character. How she handles her House i.e. the White Tower from Salidar ... Rebel Aes Sedai is brilliant.And, the Chapter Depicting Water Oath between Sorilea and Cadsuane is a stuff of legend. My hairs were raised while reading it.All in all a brilliant work of Wheel of Time... One of the Top tier entry of the series for me.

Sobre a história não posso falar ainda pq não comecei a ler. Comprei a versão em inglês pq nao tem o livro 8 traduzido em português ainda.Fiquei decepcionada com a qualidade da impressão…. Muito ruim mesmo.Papel bem ralé, o livro é tão pequenino que é ruim até de segurar para ler (olha que tenho mais pequena)Agora é torcer que o Jordan compense isso no conteúdo do livro 😅

The wheel of time continues to turn slowly, the fate of Mat remains unknown and Rand makes no further progress. The story gains more twist and you don't know who the main characters can trust. Looking forward for this twisted tale to slowly unravel in the books to come.

Je ne note pas le tome mais la saga.J'ai adoré cette saga en dévorant tous les tomes. Elle est rythmée, pleine d'actions, de complots, de revirements qui nous maintiennent en haleine tout le long. Le monde où se déroule l'action est bien pensé : on conserve un réalisme, les nouveautés proposées (magie, croyances, politique, etc.) sont bien interconnectées et nous changent des histoires habituelles.A titre personnel, je le range en N°1 de l'heroic-fantasy avec l'assassin royal. De part des héros qui sont humains par leurs défauts, et une puissance magique qui reste contrôlée [magie limitée en capacité et dans le temps ; risque de s'y abandonner ; etc.], cela permet d'avoir une mis en danger constante : le héros peut basculer du côté obscur, ou se perdre dans la magie, etc.Ils supplantent à mon gouts les autres séries (Seigneur des anneaux [trop de longueurs], la Belgariade [trop simplet], ...).

I have loved every one in this series. Although the one draw back I notice with this and the previous book is it is taking much longer for the plot to progress and he is describing down to the nth degree.However he does write interesting descriptions so it can be forgiven.Even now I am wondering what happens in the next book and how various threads of the plot will go.Amazingly written, though it seems Mr Jordan thinks women scheme and plot from sun up to sundown.

The whole series is awesome. Sometimes it gets a bit slow - but it is really always building to something. Better than the Lord of the Rings, not as taxing as a GRRM novel, this series is compelling, has several characters for you to love, a cool spellcasting system, a very big setting with very great depth. Absolutely my favourite at this time.
